All iR3 upgrades??

I haven't used my iR3 Fly in, almost forever. It's has been collecting dust for a while (actually wrapped in terry cloth and in a foam-lined, steel case).

Anyway, I finally have the money to play once or twice a month and I have been seeing some of these upgrades for the iR3 to compete with the newer stuff out.

I have seen Eye Q, Fly'ed, Chaos board, Predator board, Tadao board(sp?), levels 1, 2, and 3 trigger mods. I don't know what the differences between any of these are?

I would appreciate it very much, if someone can tell me about ALL of the Mods or upgrades out there for my iR3 Fly and which are better than the others?? Or at least put a link up to show me where to find them.

P.S. Or would it be cheaper to buy a used A4 Force Fly to get the same results?

Get the MT mod AKA fly'd or EyeQ. Every IR3 that I've seen done just flat out rips. For some reason the IR3 lreally oves the upgrade. I wouldn't bother with any of the other 2nd class eye systems. Wouldn't really worry about a trigger mod after the eye conversion but that's your choice.

I would stick with the IR3 because there are a lot more after market parts available for the IR3 and IMO its an angel you can customize even though for years you couldnt do much customizing to angels. I mean you got the AKALMP internals you can put in there now...you can also get the Bonebrake mods, there is the ERA(not recommended from what ive read up on). Ive even gotten my marker to run at 60psi LPR and I can rattle off 1600 shots with a 4000psi fill in my 45/45 tank not to mention the fps consitency is amazing +-4. You can quiet a bit with the IR3..now if you dont feel like modding it then yea get an A4 fly or a G7 its a personal thing really

I know Bonebreak is a awesome for autocockers but didn't know they did it for Angels. What is the AKALMP?? Is there a website that I can find out more information on these two mods?

So getting it fly'd and either bonebreak or AKALMP mods would be best!?!?!

Now what about these boards???? You got the Fly board that comes with the fly'd mod and you got the Chaos board and Tadao board? What is the world is the difference???????????

Im not to sure what the difference between the boards are...really I think the only difference is that the Angel boards have LCD screens and more functionality but as far as getting the marker to fire fast...I think they all do that. Im sticking with the retro fit mod cause A. it looks better, B. you get an LCD screen plus the normal WDP modes and C. you get some of the best anti chop eyes out there. Thats what im doing to mine when ever I can find an A4 Fly board lol.

Okay, I suggest you get the eyeQ conversion, they basically make it a A4 Fly, thats why they call it "Flyed". The down side is, they don't really drop your operating pressure much. I had my IR3 done. and for $50 more, they'll put in new G7 laser eyes. Next, install a Evil valve, and Stainless Steel hammer. When you get it "flyed" they'll replace your board with a A4 Fly board.
The tadao board, is a Speed board, made by the company "Tadao Industries"
BoneBrake does some great work, but I think that will void WDP's warrenty
Warped Sportz also has two different mods. The Demon board, and a Wass board. The Wass is the faster of the two.
AKALMP is the company that makes the Viking, and Excalaber, and is great with Low Pressure, but really all they have for Angels is a tornado valve.
FreeFlow also has a replacement LPR, like their Rock Regulators for Cockers, that goes where you normally would but a Volumiser at on your angel.
Personnally though, with almost all the leagues capping ROF at 15 bps, any board including the stock ones for the IR3 can reach that rate of fire, the only real difference now is ball detection systems, etc COPS, Sensi, or Break Beam Eyes. The eyes seem to be the best.

I will probably stick with some mods then. I am very partial to my gloss black iR3 Fly. I didn't buy it for the weight. I like the milling. I also have an 88/45 Angel A.I.R. I find it funny when people make the arguement about if their gear is 3 or 4 ounces lighter. Like I have said. If you have to worry about a few ounces or even a pound or 2, you don't need lighter gear! You need more gym time!!

I like Cobra parts!!

Cobra Bolt, Cobra stick trigger, Cobra Fang grip, Cobra Angled VRA, Cobra Indestruc Detent, Cobra SS buttons, x2 Cobra volumizers(new style), Cobra wall charger & car charger and a *Cobra Muffler Adapter

The first thing to do is purchase another Cobra Indestruc Detent for the dual detent mod (or is that replaced with something else?) and I have been wanting to get the Cobra SS hammer, just don't have the tools or want to mess up the installation. Heard it's trouble and really mess up if installed wrong.

I guess major mods are getting it Fly'd or Eye Q and then a BoneBrake mod since I have no WDP warranty anymore.

The IR3 runs off of the same general engine as the LCD (thats why most of the parts are the same with some mods)

Fly'n your IR3 is the ultimate upgrade for that gun. The minireg is crap IMO so u might consider an upgrade to a CP reg or the Sidewinder (i highly recomend sidewinder)

I beleive its hard to get a fly mod cuz the fly board are in short supply inthe states so they do euro conversions, i onno what the status of the Tadao board is but i know its gonna be backed fully by WDP and i have faith in this board.

You can get a Predator board from www.theangelguy.com He gives you 3 options, buy the board and te eyes and Install it your self or send your angel to him and they will do it for you. The third option is just buy the board because you really dont need eyes if you are capped at 15bps and you are running a Reloader or Halo on the gun.
The predator board also has a ton of extra features and It only runs on a 9 volt battery so you can get rid of the long battery in the gun. Look at his site, I recommend getting one
