Hey guys, I did the Angel Reg HPA mod and now my reg leaks out of the little relief hole in the top of the reg. I took it all apart and re-lubed it. Still leaks just the same. Help?

double check to make sure you did it the right way. all you need to do is take one spring out. When you say you lubed it all up, did you mean the minireg itself, or the entire flash tank assembly. make sure to oil that bean shaped o ring in between the flash tank and the body

well, i didnt lube the flash tank, but im pretty sure i did the mod right...

Try turning down the inline reg pressure. Have you changed anything with your LPR?

the little screw is all the way in and no i have not messed with the lpr

and how EXACTLY should the spring stack look?
mine is currently |=== ((())

no, I think it should be )()()

Normally, It would be like this ()()()

tried it both ways, still leaks all the same.

wow, Im stumped. See if you can try out a different tank. If you still cant figure it out, try contacting the MTs.

k, ill try my other tank and if i cant get it fixed ill take it up to the MTs

yup, tried the other tank and it still doesnt work. Do you think having not very much air left in the tank has anything to do with it? Also the balls sont go over 20 feet.

how much is not very much? The balls wont go over 20 feet with both tanks? Im starting to think the problem is more with the LPR than anything.

hmm i checked the lpr pressure. Its running about 60 psi. Should i adjust?

no, thats fine. I think that something is wrong with the LPRs o-rings or something along the lines of it. The air seems to be properly regulated, its just not getting where it needs to go. BTW, what does the miniguage on the flashtank read when you gas it up? also call one of the MTs just to see what they think.

ill look at the orings and everything, and the flash tank seems fine, it reads 175ish when i have the largest volumizer in and 300ish when i have no volumizer in. So yeah like you said, its regulating the air its just not getting where it needs to go. And i WOULD call the MTs... Buuuuut, they are the very  and :stooges:

Is the reg leaking from the hole in the reg or is it leaking from relief hole in the vertical asa just below the body?

dlrash

its leaking out of the hole in the top of the reg.

oops. I misread your first post. I thought it was coming out of the hole between the body and flash tank. Sorry about that.

oh. Well i think im gonna put my springs back to the way they were because i just traded for an adjustable 70/4500

Ball bearing, small piston (black oring up), large piston spring pack std )()()( or )()() for high pressure. If it still leaks, you have a bad seal.

dlrash

ok and how would i go about fixing the seal?

The most economical choice, would be to purchase a minireg rebuild kit.

k, but man Bob, if that doesnt solve it I'm blaming it all on you and you'll owe me $15... lol

oops forgot about this thread. Well anyway the small piston was effed up or something. But now i have other problems... oh boy... the reg doesnt regulate and it gets horrible efficiency. But that is for a new thread i spose.
