Yup I was gonna say the impy, did any shocker (before the impy was introduced) have eyes.

The older Shockers didnt have an eye system unless it was custom... with a board like a Gladiator or Morlock (http://www.exarin.com) or something. The guy that makes the Morlock (Curt) also made most of the boards for TAGSportz... he would be the one to know which was truly the first marker since he built and installed many a Morlock board, Gabriel chip (Curt actually was the first to invent the trigger programming that WAS claims to have patented...)

But I think you guys are right with the Intimidator as most likely the first to have eyes...

I am not sure on the exact year but Impulses had vision in 2000 or 2001. I bought a vision impulse in September 2001 and I think that might have been around when they came out. I think fall of 2000 was when the standard impulse came out but I am not sure.

I am guessing what he means was that the impulse used a reflective based eye system, thus one "eye", and the intimidators had the first break beam eye system, thus "eyes". Clearly from my own personal experience, and you can take this to the bank, the break beam eye system is ALOT BETTER. The first gun I owned that had an eye was an 03 shocker and I thought how sweet this was, then I owned a matrix that had break beam eyes, and I realized instantly that this was a much better system. I would have been upset if the angel markers used a reflective eye system.

no need to dis him like that dude
he said the impulse was the first to have an "eye" and the timmy was the first to have "eyes"
meaning,(i think) that the impulse was a reflective because it really only uses one and the timmy being breakbeam because it uses two...

"klassy guy" just didn't understand what was happening there, with the Smartpart products. If haven't fooled with them much you don't understand the whole ideal of the reflective eye, and assume that all guns have two eyes.

Well in actuality they all are break beam style including the impulse. One side emits a light whether visible to the naked eye or not and the other side senses when it no longer sees the light.

On the reflective eye system from what I understand the other side does nothing, it is all controlled by one single eye. The "eye" sends out a single hits the other side and bounces back to the same "eye". If there is something in there that blocks the singel the gun is allowed to shot. Atleast that is my understanding. Alot of people had problems with guns that had a gold ano. on it, didn't allow the single to bounce back.

Ok, I could be mistaken.

I remember the pointless nitroduck kit and the sandridge kit but I do not remember whether they came with eyes initially.

Oh yeah...the Sandridge (F5, Tiny Tornado) guns...I believe they came with the eye system standard...they were too stupidly fast to not have 'em. I don't remember if it used a reflective or break beam system, though. I remember seeing one in 2000, which led to several years of darkness before I came back to the Angel fold for good in 2003.

Yeah it was the Sandridge and it was a reflective system so you couldnt use any black type paint with them.
