Ok, I just got a 2000AD LCD in a trade and would like to get it up and running again. God only knows when this thing was last used or even turned on for that matter. I know the board is a goner and that the battery may be next in line to go. But I want to make it work right before I do anything else to it. I have an extra board and battery so those are set.
Me and a friend of mine swaped out the board and the battery still worked (much to my surprise) so I aired it up to see if it would fire, no luck. The 14-way is activating but not enough to make the ram move.
We took the ram out and replaced it with one that I knew was good and had the same results.
He thinks that it is the 14-way, I think that it is the lpr, or a combination of the two.
I haven't had a chance to check the lpr pressure because the angel tool kit is at the field so sorry but no lpr readings.
Dwell=15
800psi into the minireg

Any help and/or suggestions are welcome.

you can test the noid if you take the siterail cover off and press the button on the top, if it cycles your noid hsould be ok, you might need to adjust you input, are you sure you plugged everything into the proper spots?. Check the connection from the noid to the board...

Yeah All the connections are fine and I did the top button testwith the same results which is why I think it is the lpr just not sending enough pressure to the solenoid. I am going to try changing out the lpr and seeing if that works.

Check your snap ring, just a suggestion.

I didnt even think of that, that could make it not fire, if the snap ring is too tight or too loose then marker wont cycle properly... Its adjusted through the hole in the ram at the back of the marker... in case you didnt know, you seem to know your way around that lcd well.

I would have to agree, its probly the LPR or the snapring

Snap ring adjustment is fine. Looks like I need to find a new lpr but before I do that gonna go to the field and use the angel gauge and make sure. Thanks for the input guys, I'll be sure to keep you up on what goes on.

how do you know if the snapring is fine if the marker wont fire? Fireing the gun is part of the adjustment process.

Places the ram assembly in another lcd to make sure that it was working properly
