Hey, I'm sure someone can help me out here, On my LCD 2k, there's supposed to be different modes, but I can't take it out of mode b... Can anyone help? (i looked at the manuals, it doesn't say anything about HOW to change the modes)

You can only change the modes using the buttons inside of the grip frame. Meaning that you have to lift the grip on the lcd side and use the buttons that are below the screen to cycle through and change the mode. Some boards are locked meaning that some of the modes are inaccessable so you may only have some of the modes available to you.

If you can get a hold of a data cable and the right software you can unlock them yourself. I just bought a lcd off of an acquaintance who put a new lcd board in it and all the modes were unlocked already. Not sure where he got it from though.

lol well then there's more than 1 person with my problem... I'm sure the 2k has all the modes or there wouldn't be a "mode" setting... but maybe we just hafta get a data link to unlock em. Where can i get a data link for a good price? oh and to answer the hijacker's question, take off the grip pannel and there's 2 buttons on the board under the LCD screen... the 1 on the left changes the feature that's active, and the 1 on the right adjusts the feature you're in... hah! no one hijacks my thread.

Anyways, again, so my question stands out, Where can i get a data link for a good price?

Try one of the MTs. Also, check the classifieds and ebay. I don't believe they make them anymore.

Are you sure it's a number? It's supposed to be a 'b'. Maybe it just looks like a 6? If it looks like any other number besides 6 i dont know what to tell you haha
