we just finished a tourni this weekend. we have 2 a4's, a speed 03, and an Ir3. Is there any software or board upgrades we can do to stop getting outgunned by Dm4/5 timmies and ions?

the a4's should hav v3 software, not sure about the speed and ir3. the dm's and timmies will always be faster due to the microswitch that triggers the gun, ions have a 17 bps cap unless they have had the qev mod done. then they should have mabe 21bps limit. Ions are also microswitch. to really rev up your angel speed wise, but definitely not flexibility wise, get your angel predator'd it will bounce like crazy, but if a ref only pulls the trigger 4 times it is unnoticeable. I may get a cyborg due to this, I really like the lcd, but actual pullable speed is not as high on a angel as on other guns. If you like the unimaginary flexibility of the angels programming, then angels are for you, if you like simplicity then the speed 05 or other microswitch guns are for you. The 90 degree frame is nice though.

Ion - capped at 17 no matter what unless it has a different board
Angels - If you cant shoot a 03 speed or A4 close to 20 BPS then something is wrong i use to hit 24 with my A4 all the time.
timmys and DMs - they may be faster but they break down....ALOT.

All in all its not the gun its how you use it and MOSTLY the player. ;)

or its called experience and use the hell out of your finger to ripp it up. I can't believe you even posted this thread talking about getting out gunned due to your own fault it seems. All the guns you mentioned can ripp @ss so it seems you and your guys need some more finger practice to ripp them.

ok guys its not me its the other guys on my team. because i didnt find too much problems but the thing was is the tourni is allowing psp mode or one of the other stupid modes that after 3 or 4 pulls then the gun jumps to 15 bps, it just seems that they are faster maybe not or maybe its because they can do it continuously easier due to software.

Everytime you sit down to watch tv, grab your marker and practice walking your trigger. Do it for 20 - 30 minutes everyday and you will see an improvement in your rof.

:dito: All you gotta do is work on your trigger fingers. I had a tourney this weekend and my bro and our other teammate shot their A4's, I shot my custom 'cocker (no ramp codes) and none of us got outgunned. We had more paint in the air than almost any other team and our guns didn't do the ramp that they were letting.

...see the bold section in your post, I think that is the key, especially the underlined portion...

..getting you fingers up to speed is achievable for anyone (practice/training)...the software "assist" makes it more 'convienent' but the BEST way to compensate/overcome is to adapt your tactics to account for this new aspect of "ramping" that puts walls of balls out...
