Hello everyone,
I just bought a Dark Angel IR3 yesterday, having moved up from a cocker, b2k2 lcd, Impulse, and an ion, and I have a couple of basic questions.(It didn't come with a manual and my forum search results didn't turn up anything, from what I saw.)
1. What is dwell?
2. How do I adjust the FPS?
I've managed to figure the workings of the board and buttons just fine; it's pretty self explanitory.
I'm so glad I'm an Angel owner!
Thanks for the help!

Dwell is how long air is sent to the ram which in turn controls how long your valve is held open. A longer dwell setting will raise your velocity, but since it has to open for longer it will result in a lower ROF.
On an IR3 you should have it set to 14.
Velocity is adjusted using the 3mm screw on the side of the minireg [the foregrip thing]. Out = more velocity.

I hear that the lower you set your dwell at, the less air it uses which in turn makes your marker quieter and reduces kick. It was originally set at 14 so I will leave it as is for now. Thanks for the reply.

Its a balance. To run a lower dwell you have to run a higher valve and LPR pressure, so your both your bolt and exhaust air are hitting the paint harder.
The LP [speed, a4, a4fly, 05speed, g7] angels allow you to play with the settings alot more. The HP angels are meant to run at very specific settings, the ir3's being 100psi [exact] LPR and dwell of 14.
