First post, long time reader.
I've owned a used angel 2k1 for about a good 6 months now and have had no real issues with the gun untill the last month or so. Prior too the issues ive been having the gun has worked just like a dream.
The issue im having is that I can shoot up too about 3-5 balls at a fast pase with no problem. As soon as shoot more than that amount the balls begin to drop and or chop. Again, if I keep the speed down and or only shoot in 3-5 round bursts I have no issue. Once I open it up going as fast as I can pull the trigger, I chop and or get the drop off.
Now my first reaction too the problem was too send it to the local angel shop and see what he had too say. He took the gun and adjusted the regs and said there was some minor adjustments that needed too be made but other than that it was in good condition. So I took it home and tried it out... same problem the next day. 3-5 shots=fine, shooting more than that=chop town.
So I call the guy back up and he tells me that this is a problem very specific to angels. Its called a "Roll back" where the ball that is in the chamger gets lodged behind the ball that is going to drop after it gets shot. The best way i can explain it is that the ball in the chamber moves about 1/8-1/16th of an inch too the back of the gun and the ball above it drops slightly in front of it. Thus when it shoots you see a loss in speed due too the fact it has push the ball above it out of the way then through the barrel.
Now, im very new too angels and have no idea if this is true or not. I asked him what too do too fix it and he said it was a minor fix of removing the back plate and adjusting the bolt/ram (not sure of its technical term) a slight amount so that it moves the bolt forward enough that it does not occur.
The reason im posting this here is too clarify if this is an issue with Angels in general, a specific model issue that can be fixed with a new part, and or a total load of bull. Any answers or suggestions at this point would be much appreciated being that I love the gun and would love too continue using it. Although if these problems continue it wont make sence too continue using the gun.
Thanks in advance.
(P.S. sorry for the long first post)
