how do you put it back to gether with the lid spring in the right place if you could help i would be greatful

Take the left side of the shell, place in the spring (long portion pointing up) in the shell, then place the pin and then the lid. Before you slide the lid all the way down, pull the long portion of the spring around the lid and you are done.
