I just got a used 04 Angel speed w/ an Armageddon regulator. I took it to get the tank filled and it blew out the pressure line. I replaced the line and then they tried to fill it again and this time the connection into the gun from the pressure line blew out. I am new to this and the guy at the paintball store didn't have any ideas (tech was out for the holiday). Any suggestions?

Also, the guage on the Armageddon was set at 250. I thought that it could go as high as 700 without a problem.

Please help!

It sounds like the Armageddon is not regulating the pressure. 250psi seems low to blow a hose and a macroline fitting.

Maybe the pressure line is the wrong type --the macro line is made of high density polyethelene and the same tube in much thinner diameter is used in resdential RO hook ups. Make Sure you got the thick stuff. Macro fitting is clincher and 2 o-orings the clincher holds the tube (like a barb on fishing hook) the o-rings make the seal. If blew out the clincher is bad or the wrong line is used.

I suggest you spen $15 on a macro line kit and replace it all?

Steel braded hose is nasty stuff. Be prepaired to scratch up your gun/gear.

Good point Dragon, could be a micro line instead of a macro line.

1. Go to hardware store

2. Buy heat-shrink tubing

3. Put heat-shrink tubing on hose
according to instructions on
package

4. Install hose

It gives it a nice touch (not quite as clunky looking as braided stainless steel line) as well as preventing scratches. And no more worries about marcoline blowouts

crazy posts - first of all micro line is 1/4 o.d. (outside diameter) and macro is 3/8's o.d. 2 differnet animals or lines.

Now-ok- 3/8's(o.d.) line with a 1/4" i.o (inside diameter) they are RO lines (reverse osmosis) macro lines have an i.o. of 1/8 or so it looks like are macro lines -much thicker.

Remember --5 wraps of teflon tape (plus) to seal --plus++

i use steel and macro -- steal does not scratch your gun if its done right. The difference is, if you are changing your air tank (tanks) alot then -- you need steel with a quick release --if you hook the gun up and thats it for the year the macro is way better --weighs less 4 one. Much fast to disconect but its not as duriable (when constantly removeing and reusing).

when you cut any polyethlene i.e. macro line make sure you de-bur it--it will scrape and cut the o-rings that make the seal. Bad macro fitting may be the probelm.

That big steel fitting uses a rubber o-ring to seal!! It is easliy pinched or cut by sharp edges on he macro line.

Glad to use that class 80 u of i engineering paper -lol  -lol

I never use teflon tap on any of my angels. I use Permatex thread sealer. Its much safer to use.

i was wrong on the diameter of the its 1/4" . I see your point with tape you could get little pieces of tap in your gun.
