No worries, it's very rare to see someone get flamed here on AOG...
Maintenance on these babies are pretty easy considering what you get in return. As with anything you need to spend a little time getting to know your marker, what each component does and why. Reading the manual really helps, it solves most all your problems. Besides, if you ever get stuck you've got this site and Master Techs located around the country that are more than willing to help you out (often for free w/ the simple stuff).
This site is also one of your best resources for information; like I said, we don't flame so you don't have to worry about sounding like a noob. Just ask your problem and provide as much information as you can about what's happening... As you get more knowledgeable w/ your marker, help others out as well. What goes around, comes around.
To answer your questions directly:
costs to maintain - practically $0 if you do the work yourself. It needs a few drops of oil every 8K shots (some people recommend every case or two dropping in some 'love juice'). Every 20K you should take your marker apart and clean swab it down and regrease some of the main components... All these are like recommended services on a car. A lot of people are religious about getting their oil changed every 3K miles, some folks aren't. The car still runs if you don't change the oil right away, but you're looking at less problems in the long run if you do. One thing that's cool is that the A4 will tell you when it thinks you need to perform a service check on it.
Eyes - for an A4 it's between $265 (for the LED board) and $300 (for the LCD board). I think Laser (G7) Eyes will cost you an extra $25 or so.
Good luck! :patriot:

I pretty much agree with what Duper said...once you get to know the marker maintainence is a piece of cake...Plus serivce and support is top shelf, really unlike any other...BUT I disagree that maintaining your pup won't cost you a thing...you will need to invest about 75-80$ to get the lpr tool kit, WHICH IS A MUST and I think about 5-10$ for some lovely luv juice...Oh and you might get the ocassional flame, don't think its rare, but don't take it personal its all love here...still you shouldn't worry bout sounding like a newbie cuz we all gotta start somewhere.
One last thing when you have a question...its helpful to state the settings of your gun (input, lpr, dwell, etc) and any other info you think might be relavent....WELCOME.
Welcome to AOG! Followin what duper and lefty said, low maintenance + amazing performance= ANGEL. you wont be sorry with your purchase and as i have said many times before, when you buy an Angel, your not only buying an amazing marker, your buying an amazing service (AOG). Not many othr brands of markers, if any, have a forum "service" like this. Run by MT's, all your questions can be answered here within minuets. lol im like a living ad for these guys.
Oh, and if you change your mind on the A4, feel free to stop in the Speed forum. ;)

True -- I forgot about the tool kit. That's like $50: http://performanceangel.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=305&cat=72&page=1
The oil and grease is almost pocket change and the oil comes w/ a new marker (and most used ones).
That'll give you hours of fun tinkering w/ your marker. If you buy it new, it should be good to go out of the box... put a few cases of paint through it playing so it gets broken in.
If you buy it used and you're brand new to angels you might just want to send it to a Master Tech and get it serviced ($30 - $65 depending on how 'serviced' you want it).
ENJOY!

i'm assuming your tank is HP. you could always do the mini-reg mod http://www.angel-owners.com/showthread.php?t=22326 . i would recommend you get a LP tank or send your tank to crossfire and they'll swap that tank reg out for bout $75(don't remember the price off the top of my head)

If you arent sure if your tank is high pressure or low pressure just look at the reg. If its high pressure the crossfire sticker will be red. If its low pressure it will be blue.
