I know not all fall in this category.

I've been reading a lot of posts in the forums and I keep seeing something that irritates the crap out of me. RAMPING!!! Why is it that so many people want ramping? What ever happened to learning a skill? People talk about practicing this and that.. yet they can't practice pulling a trigger. I've been playing for roughly 8 yrs and will admit I can't shoot fast, but I've been working my a** off trying to get faster. I love paintball and love working at trying to perfect what I do on the field. I love being able to accomplish different things. I can't really put what I'm feeling into words so I'll just end it here. Sorry to all that have read this. :notsure:

Granted I own a Speed 05 and a G-7 and can get 20bps out of either myself without ramping but still. The sport is changing. 5 - 10 years from now when they have changed ramping to something completely new the current crop of older players will be wondering why everyone wants the new thing.

How do you think those of us who came from a paintball day of shooting less than 100 balls feel with the markers that shoot in excess of 20bps? I remember the really big JT harness, at least I think it was JT that made it, held a whopping 38 tubes and 14 co2 cartridges but no one except Navarone or Sudden Impact shot that much in a single game. I don't remember the honchos on Navarone or if any of them are still playing today but Dave Youngblood was on Sudden Impact along with the TV actor Ricky Schroder.

Funny thing happened to me last weekend,, I got my Angel pulled for "ramping". Well I had a kitten SH%$ fit, cause I have "slight" pride in the fact that I can shoot my Evolved Fly a consistent 15 -16 BPS. I tried to show that the the TR was still at 1, and it only fired one ball per trigger pull, I was still told that the "board" was "fixed", when in fact it is still the same stock board that came with the dang thing 100,000 cycles ago. Weird ignorance, Ironically, i finished the day with my other Evolved Fly set up EXACTLY the same way and they seemed to think that it was "OK NOW".
Ramping SUCKS! People who play with "enhancements" to the existing markers are WEAK, SPINELESS LAZY, BIOTCHES, who have to overcompensate for their shortcomings with "special treatment" WEAK ASS SHIET!

that's another point clowndog makes up, it not only gives them an unfair and bull§§§§ advantage, but it creates a problem for ppl like us (not bragging) that can shoot fast legally. Since a majority of other players needs "enhanced" modes, that puts the minority of ppl that can shoot fast legally bundled up in that cheater group.

It's to make the newbies happy...Everybody wants to be able to jump out there and shoot guns superfast and not learn anything...I played at a local tourney where ramping guns were allowed up to 17 bps. My whole team shot guns that don't ramp (4 angels, and one custom e2'd cocker) and we outshot the majority of the other teams. From an article I read in PGI, Magued said that there are only 3 or 4 players on Joy that can even shoot 13 bps consistently w/o bounce...That's pretty amazing when you consider they are one of the best teams in the world, and can only reach 13 bps, when tourneys are running ramps to 15 bps...It just all makes people happy.
