View Full Version : need some help with my rasta fly

Started using the fly last time out on Memorial day weekend. Worked like a freakin machine gun.
Then all of a sudden, the best I can get out of it is a 2-3 shot string and then the bolt gets stuck forward and leaks air until I manually push the bolt back. At that pint i can get another 2-3 ball string and repeat the process.
No ball breaks in the breach or dirt in the chamber. I thought at first it was dirt that was making things stick. I lowered the TR setting to almost nil, upped my dwell and as a last resort, reset everything to factory settings. Still the same problem.
Any ideas or help?
Should i just send it to a tech and have a full blown tune up done?
I dont want to tear into it to much since I dont have an Angel tool kit. So I thought I'd check for suggestions before sending it in.
Thanks in advance for the help

couple things... first make sure that the breach block o-ring (square looking one) is sitting flat. sometimes out of the factory they put too much glue on it and it doesnt let the breach block sit flush with the body. take off the barrel, look back up into the breach to see if it looks like it sits flat. if its even slightly off, you will be abbe to see a small lip. because of the lp that the bolt works on, that could be enough to cause the bolt to stick forward.

the other thing to check are the detents. dodgy detents will cause the bolt to stick forward too. so if you have a spare set, chuck them in and see if you still have a sticking bolt...

thanks yoda.
I'll try those out and see what goes on when I get home from work.
Appreciate the suggestion.
