Well, after using my g7 only 2 times...ive come to the conclusion that this is the best gun i have ever used.

Dont get me wrong, the jd gets the ladies, but this g7 gets the kills.

Im gonna go over the Pros i have seen with this gun, and the cons.

Pros:
Efficient - aprox. 600 shots off 1000psi
Smaller, lighter, balanced - all characteristics this has over previous angels. Really emphasized on the Balanced part.
Fast - nothing out of the ordinary for angels here.
Sexy - See description of fast.
Very clean and solid - Minimized parts, aka rid the flashtank, incorperated foregrip w/ reg, flush eye covers, all the parts flow.
Obviously the rotobreach improvment - I can shoot paint through this gun i could never even think about with my fly.

Cons:
No Volumizers at the moment(not a huge deal)
Feedneck oring is not fit for halos, too tight to get on, and nearly impossible to get off.
Trigger frame/trigger - Coudnt take the back magnet out for snappier pull(worked fine in my friends speed), and i love my fly frame/trigger to death. Trigger is just not me(i can still rip on it though)
Death Grip elbows - These things are killer to get macroline out of, but ive found ways.(not completey a con)

Overall, i believe the Pros(there are more) HIGHLY outweigh the cons. I honestly dont think i can love a gun more than i do this one.

Anyone post up what you agree or disagree w/ what i have to say. And possibly find some fixes to my cons.

The feedneck issue can be resolved by lightly greasing the o-rings. They still prevent a very good clamp and I can now slide my Halo in & out with ease. The trigger frame issue is a "like or dislike" issue, it's not really a con. The .45 frame option is now available which will make some people happy. The rear magnet can be removed out of the wheel very easily with a lighter or a drill. As for the death grip elbows, my macroline slides in and out. The problem occurs with worn macroline, with fresh macroline I've never experienced a problem. It obviously varies from elbow to elbow.

It obviously varies from elbow to elbow.I think you meant the the feed neck still allows a good clamp yet you are able to slide your halo in and out.

As far as the macroline elbows go, yes they hold tighter than standard macroline fittings but you can still remove macroline easily.

pros: just about everything you can think of has been redesigned and improved (new minireg, new LPR, new solenoid, new valve, new board, new ram/bolt mechanism, 05 style frame). It's an Angel, is probably the biggest Pro.

cons: milling (it's rather ugly, imo, **flaming death rains down upon me from on high**); price $1350 is a lot, and shoots a lot of paint. other than that, not much bad about it.

Pros: The obvious

Cons: Feedneck is a twistneck. No bottomline screws or bottomline included.

For 1300 dollars at its cheapest now I would think you would at least get a clamping feedneck and some screws to attach your air stuff.

The gun is incredible, I find these two facts disturbing all the same.

WDP still rules.

Cons: No bottomline screws or bottomline included.Name one high end marker where this is included? That's a con of a G-7 to not include this? Most people already have their own bottomline or a preference in which one they want. As far as not having screws, there are basically 2 types of screws used for bottomlines and are available at just about any hardware store. If you have any sort of bacis parts kit you should have a few of those screws. I have several dozen of almost any screw you could need paintball related just for this purpose.

On another note there's already a thread on this subject so I merged the two threads together.

DM5/DMC & Ego to name two markers (in which a bottomline setup & macroline is included)

Wow, well you learn something everyday. That's kinda wierd that they are including them now when for basically the past 5 or 6 years they never did. Oh well.

My 284 dollar Ion came with an full bottomline setup. Its about time the rest of the industry ups the standards and includes the 30 dollar piece of equipment in the 1400 price tags.

I'd settle for a case ala Cyborgs.

Right... I see a lot of people that still use a duck bill ASA, even on high end markers. It's a cheap, quick way to run a preset. You know that everyone is very quick to invest incredible amounts of money on their markers, barrels, loaders and hoppers. But when it comes to paint and ASAs, it's all about being incredibly cheap.

BTW, also forgot the Shocker... that too comes with an ASA setup. Having WDP fit an ASA or rail/ASA combo with an on/off and macroline wouldn't break the bank. Yes, you could make the argument that "people will probably swap it out anyway" but I'd be willing to say that most people will keep it on.

I've seen numerous DM5s & Egos all using the 'stock' hardware in that area. Considering the G7 costs more then both those markers (initially), you'd think this would be a standard accessory.

I'd be very interested to see if WDP makes this move on their next flagship marker in '06. Still though, despite that short coming... the G7 is the best WDP product yet and obviously the best marker out there.
