View Full Version : Leak where the mini reg grip and frame meet...

I have had/heard a leak for a week now.

I took the mini reg out and removed the piece that it is housed in.

The o-ring/seal that sits between that piece and the frame is definitely where my leak is coming from (BUT) upon inspection the o-ring looks perfectly fine.

I have flipped and regreased this thing three times now and it continues to leak. Any suggestions?

One guy told me that he had to just let his leak for a while and eventually the air just pushed things into place and helped seat everything properly. Is that what I should do (cause that sounds a bit strange to me)?

Could this be some mircoscopic issue with the o-ring that I cannot see but is still causing the problem?

Do I just need to try a new o-ring at this point (AND IF SO...does anyone know the specifics about that o-ring in particular and where I can get one)?

Thanks!

Rob

If you have tried greasing the o-ring and can't see any tears in it the chances are either will have to replace the o-ring or sned it to an mt to be fixed.

On a somewhat different route, when you tighten the foregrip in place using only the screw inside the foregrip, is there any play or is it securely mounted. While it's unlikely it is always you got a screw that is just a hair too long or the hole was nto drilled to the proper depth. It's not something common for WDP to do this, bordering on unheard of, but anything could be possible.

o-rings are finicky. if you've had that much trouble, I'd just replace it.

Is it leaking from there or from the little square? Because that would be an LPR oring issue not the flashtank oring :)
