ok, i got my g7 today, and first thing i did was try to take the magnet out of the back vernier wheel. Basically it sucked stock. and i did this on my friends speed and the trigger is fast as hell.
i got it out and replaced it back in the gun. well, i put everything back together and the trigger isnt returning. i tried freeing it of any obstacles or what have you. nothing.
so i put it back together, with the front wheel in the back. now it is returning again, but the trigger feels like crap. Basically, from what i can understand, the front magnets were never doing anything.
what do i do?'
also i have a 90 frame...if that means anything.
anyone else having this problem?

The front magnet "attracts" the trigger back forward, where the rear magnet repels the trigger away from the frame. So you'll want to adjust your trigger to where you need to pull the trigger away from the front magnet but yet have enough slop in the trigger to where immediately upon release it pulls the trigger back.
I adjusted my G7 as follows, perhaps yours will be along the same lines. The forward wheel (two clicks right), the rear wheel (three clicks left), the TOE is in 1 1/4 turns from where it'd be flush.

Ken Crane set mine with the front magnet removed and the back still in place. Even if he had not done this I still see it as the strongest and fastest return.
With the rear magnet removed the front magnet is at it's weakest point at the rear of the pull making it slower on the return and harder to pull initially.
With the front magnet removed the magnet is at it's stongest force at the rear of the pull and the trigger will return faster. At the start of the pull it is at it's weakest and by the time it gets to the strongest force period it already has inertia of the trigger moving making it reach the rear of the pull with the least amount of force.
This is great stuff... thanks Sparco and El Pirata.

i understand that, but on my friends speed, there is enough force from the front magnet alone to return it really fast. Fast enough to say id rather shoot that speed that my fly.
seeing as how the triggers are no different on the g7, i wanted to do that same mod. and the return isnt even half as much as on the speed.

Remember, the Speed may still have had the Trigger Disks, making the Trigger feel different from the G7.
I recommend taking out the Trigger when you first get it, and lub the Bearings. I use Speed Cream. It is used for Skateboard Bearings, and it works VERY well.
I did that, and took out the Rear Magnet and the Trigger feels awsome!
