I just aired up my brand new G7 and it's leaking out the small hole on the side of the reg.

I've checked the O-rings, adjusted the psi (300-450), and shot numerous times to see if it needed broken in. It's a small leak, but it's still a leak....

Any suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks

Are you talking the velocity adjustor hole in the side. Regardless it sounds like an o-ring needs to be lubed or replaced. For starters add a couple of drops of oil into the asa or macroline then fire about 30 - 50 shots without the bolt. If the leak is still there after that I would take it back to where you bought it and exchange it. If you bought it through the net and it was mailed to you I would recommend either replacing the o-ring yourself or sending it to one of the MT's to fix

It's leaking out the little exhaust hole on the side, but I'll give what you said a whirl....

Much thanks,....

When you fire the marker does it sound awfully loud? It sounds almost like there is too much pressure being caused either by the velocity adjustment screw or a faulty o-ring like what El Pirata said.

Good luck.

How do I check the mini reg psi?

I've changed the O-rings and greased it up, it still leaks!!!!!!

Can you take a digital pic of the place where it is leaking or take a screen shot of the and circle where the leak is coming from.

There's a small hole above the velocity screw. It's leaking from there. I will try and get a pic up.
Thank you

I also changed (O-rings) and re-greased everything also.

My speed did that when i first bought it and when i went through the entire thing i relubed it and couldnt for the life of me figure it out. I ended up just buying a new mini reg cartridge from FMA.

It wasn't covered by the warranty? I didn't pay $1350 to have a broken gun, something like this you would think they would fix it.

My G-7 started to leak out of the same place last week. When I got it home I tore it down and lubed up the mini reg and all the o-rings. Well that didn't work, but I then got the idea to pull out the LPR and lube up all the O-rings there and PRESTO the leak was gone when I put it back together and aired her up. I don't know if this will work for you, but it worked for me! :bouncer:

While we're on the topic, what exactly does that little hole do?

That one got my hopes up, but didn't work. Thanks for the reply 50.

That's a good question...... what is the hole for?

Did you use oil or grease to lube the o-rings? O-rings need a little more tha just oil sometimes to getthem to seal.

I used Angel grease.

It was a 35 dollar part and i didnt feel like shipping my gun to an mt to have it looked at.

That's a good question...... what is the hole for?My best guess would be that the hole is there so that if per chance your minireg's o-rings are bad (the seal is shot), it'll leak there. Why the heck would you want it to leak there? So that you know the minreg cannot do what it is supposed to - reduce the tank pressure to whatever operating pressure you want. That's just a guess on my part.

It has to be the o-rings.
