what does it mean when my valve leaks?

Explain where exactly the leak is coming from in the valve area. You figure that there are three seals in that area which could "fail" to cause the leak. Have you tried removing the valve stem and valve body? Have you cleaned off the internal chamber where the guide sits, replaced or inspected the o-rings?

haven't look at the valve body orings yet...the valve stem looks brand new...i've only shot like 3 1/2 cases thru her

...looks can be deceiving... take the valve stem out of the marker, clean it thoroughly and check the 'plastic' portion. the portion that sits on the valve port face should be nice and flat so it "seals". if the edge looks ragged or torn, replace the valve stem. if all looks good, just clean out the chamber the valve stem & spring fit into, clean the valve face, apply a light coating of oil to valve stem and seal, reassemble. remove mini-reg & put 2-3 drops of oil in the ASA, re-insert min-reg, gas it up and fire about 20 shots (slowly) thru it to re-distribute the oil evenly and check again for leak...

...getting the cobra valve would only be good if the following apply:

1. You really wanted one anyways, regardless if your stock valve was ok :lol:
2. The performance gain over the stock valve was significantly improved to justify the cost.
3. The cost of the cobra valve PLUS the performance gain was so CHEAP that it just beat the hell out of buying a valve stem 3-pak for ~$25 or single valve stem for ~$8...

But it's your choice...

fixed the leak it was the bigger oring on the valve...i'm probably gonna get one to see what all the hype is about

post a review after you set up the cobra valve and test it. There's also the newton valve that you can buy at various sites (the MT sell it too).
