Yes, it will fire. You should have 4 different sensi modes to choose from which will set the length of window for sensi to detect a ball.

Sensi mode 1 will not fire if no ball is detected
Sensi 2 has a small delay and will fire even if no ball detected
Sensi 3 will not fire but has a longer cycle time of detection
Sensi 4 will fire with a longer cycle time

the sensi system requires calibration. the first 5-10 shots after you turn your marker on are for this purpose and the gun is capped at 13bps for these first shots. after sensi is calibrated, the sensi/board will return to it's standard uncapped state. Assuming you have calibrated sensi, but now have no paint, even in modes 1 and 3 (the shot skipping modes) the marker will still fire with sensi on. Sensi is designed, unlike eyes which won't fire ever if no ball is present, to include "clearing shots" to eliminate the chance of a missed ball-reading. if i recall, these clearing shots are limited to like 3 bps, so if you run your hopper dry you will find that you can still dry fire slowly, but you shouldn't be able to rip. hope this makes sense, if you have any questions feel free to ask, that's what we're here for. it's taken me some time to get this all straight in my head, and i'm happy to share...

definitely make sure you've read through the manual, and also the stickied thread at the top of this forum "Importance of Calibrating the Speed/A4". good luck

It'll keep firing as fast as you can. That's normal :)
