Adjusting the trigger???

OK I have read the manual three times even and yes there is only tobacco in the hookah but damn if I can understand the reason for loosening the trigger adjustment locking screw. If I turn the vernier wheels, it does make changes to the trigger. Can someone help me with this?

how far out do I need to loosen the trigger adjustment locking screw???

I take mine fully out. * both there are two one on each side*
And then i adjust the trigger a little lighter then i like it and a little longer. And when i put the screws back in its how i like it.
