Barrel Rumor true/not??

i heard angel threaded barrels wont fit on an angel G7 because the body is different and there is a gap, or wont screw in all the way, cant remember how it was put, but anyway, i want a new barrel for my angel, and need to know if there is any truth to this or if any angel threaded barrel will fit just fine. and which one of these(In your honest opinion) would you get. Powerlyte Scepter, Dye ultralight, Custom Products 2 piece or evil pipe kit? thanks....

Well a dye boomy that i had with my old 2k angel and it worked fine on my G7. As far as getting a new barrel, have you thought about a stiffi or mamba kit?

It fits perfectly fine. They were originally going to make shorter threads. The barrels would have still worked fine, just had a gap. Then they were going to give you a spacer for the old style barrels. They just made them the same size to avoid all the hassle.

All Angel barrels work fine.

thanks, and what is a mamba kit? neva heard of that one. is it better than others? i know barrels are mostly preference, but i want a cool looking barrel and one that is quiet along with good porting and one that shoots well through breaks and i have thought of a stiffi, but i heard some bad about them. are they accurate and quiet as ppl say they are??

Stiffi Switch kit fits on my G7's like a glove. I dry fired with the stock bbl and then switched to the Stiffi and it is noticeably quieter.

that is a nice set up!! and nice lamp too.....lol......but how do you like the accuracy of the barrel. that is the most important thing of all. and does anyone elses G7 kick a bit? not too bad, but more than the "Zero Kick" they promised, anything specific to do to fix it, like what settings do you have on the following?

Tek Neak, thanks for the compliment, and as for accuracy; extremely accurate. Moreso than the stock bbl. I also got to fire a Matrix today and mine was more accurate and quieter than that as well and we both filled with same paint.

i think i have made my mind up, im prolly going to get the stiffi unless anyone has any reason for me to believe i need to get something else. i have used evil pipe kits, freak kits and werent too terribly impressed, the pipe it the better of the two. but does anyone know anything at all about a Powerlyte Sceptor? thanks

what is the hype of the dez. bolt? i thought the G7 bolt and valve were suppose to work in tandem with one another for better efficiency, and the soft face it pimp, i never chop, like ever. but what can i do to reduce some kick. what is your dwell and LPR set at? thanks

The DEZ Bolt is built to tighter tolerances from ERtalyte TX which is like some crazy unobtanium material. I saw what one of Bob's bolts did for my friend's Speed % and I am sold. Common gains are raised FPS which means greater efficiency as you will need to lower the FPS to accomodate the gains. Less wear as the bolt is a perfect match. Hand made by a very skilled artisan. If you have any other questions, El Pirata can give you more skinny on this mod.

I shoot a Sceptor 5 kit because I use different markers depending on the event. All you have to do is buy a back that threads your marker, the sleeves and front stays the same. It works as good as any barrel system, I like is because of the sleeve design and ability to simply change backs. I also like it because there isn't excessive porting but it's still quiet.

What I don't like is the sleeves are color coded by size. They anodize the inside of the sleeves as well. They do micro-polish the inside, but the surface of the polished paint remains somewhat porous. If you get a break, this is not best cleaning barrel.

Go with the hammerheads.. They are just plain AMAZING! Very quiet, cleans breaks within like 3 shots...its just the best barrel on the market. :):)

i have heard they suck, but let me know what you like about them and your experience with the way they perform and maybe i'll take a look into it. i have heard that they tend to curve, break a lot of the more brittle paint, once it breaks it shoots crazy until you clean......etc. but what are your thoughts. thanks....and hey Apachon. i am going to order the bolt, how much of a wait did you experience on yours? thanks

Well I went through over a case of Diablo Nightmare today without a single barrel break in my Stiffi Switch. Damn does this thing whiz paint out. Simply amazing. The sound muffling is also astounding so much so, there was an opponent on the other side of the 50 that could not hear me, and I got to tag him out.

Tek Neak, as for the DEzign Bolt, I sent the Money Order on Monday. It was received by Thursday and mu bolts where completed that very same night to which I have to give a huge Kudos to Mr. DEZ. He shipped them out on Friday and I will have the early part of next week.

I'm in the market for a new G7, probably one of the newer fades or whatnot, My question involves the SmartParts barrel system. Has anyone tried it on a G7? If so how is the fit? is there a gap? I've got the barrel set right now on my IR3 and I plan on selling the marker to pick up the rest of the tab for the G7. I noticed someone already stated that the gap is no longer an issue, but I want to know about the SP specifically. Thanks guys

Get a CP kit. I personally like them the best cuz they are cheap, and have the same smoothness bores, if not smother bores than a stiffi. So it will be more acurrate, and it is two peice, which it good. I think the bore is way smoother than the stiffi's. You can get the mamba kit for $209 or you can buy a cp kit for $140. The cp kit that costs 140 only comes with three bore sizes, but you get to pick the so if you shoot a lot of .689, .691, and .685, then you can get those three bore sizes.

Thanks gunna, but my question involves the Smart Parts Barrel kit and if anyone has specifically used it on a G7, I'm aware of the other barrel kits and such and I'm sure I'll end up with one of your recommendations if SP does not fit a G7. Not One of my local shops has a G7 in stock so I can't physically test it out myself.

Younggunna have you had good luck with your CP kit? I'm considering getting one for my G7. I just can't decided what color to get. CP doesn't have anything that matches the Graphite Dust very well. Suggestions anyone?

Yeah the DEZign bolt is like a miracle for angels, wow you have 2 G7s. What makes you so special, bub. Show off. And nice lamp, looks very realistic. That may very from state to state or province to province. I don't do drugs either but here in Canada it is perfectly legal to sell drug paraphanalia. There are shops that specialize in papers, pipes and such. Makes sense...the drug itself is illegal. Who's to say someone just doesn't want a bong for decoration.
