I hav always prefered a slightly smaller area between the trigger and the trigger guard. When rapid firing I will bounce my fingers off the trigger guard back onto the trigger achieving better ROF's for me. Anyway I asked DEZ to make a trigger for me. To assist him in this I bought a Speed 05/G-7 trigger for him to use as a template. Upon seeing the leaf spring on the back of it he said it was possible but wht leaf spring would make it difficult. He suggested a trigger shoe. I left the trigger with him and came back a month or so later. Not that it took him that long it was just the first chance I had to get back there. The first set of pics show what he made.
I played with it at practice on Sunday but the space was a little too small for my liking actually slowing my rof down as a result. Then I got the great dremel idea which is shown in the second set of pics.
The big doen side to this mod if opts to do more, you will have to send him your trigger to get him to do it. The second down side is he has to drill two holes in the back of your trigger to attach the trigger shoe. While if you ever decide to remove the shoe it will not effect the preformance in any way but there will be two non-ano'd holes in your trigger which might look to some as a cosmetic blemish. Personally I could care less about the cosemetic look of the trigger but that's just me. This weekend of next weekent I will probably stop by and leave another trigger there for him to do the mod to one of my teammates triggers because he liked the idea in a big way.
Enough with the talk I'll let the pics take over from here.
Before cutting the trigger away:
