hello again all. today was my second outing with my speed. it was going great and ripping hard until i took a hard slide into the 50 off the break. the feedneck and hopper just broke off the body!! it appears the threads are pretty much damaged beyond repair (on my CIP neck and the body). this might seem like an odd question but what can i do? its such a catastrophic part failure idk what to do! HELP ME!!!

i think it might be hard to find a tap that big allthough mcmaster-carr would be a good place to look.

The MT's have taps that size. McMaster won't have anything that size, they were specially made. You can send it in to one of them and they can try to rethread it, if not they will provide you with other options.

you would have to fill, drill, and then rethread it so i doubt its a viable option...

Where are you from. If you happen to be local I can help you out.

Just check out Fix My Angel. Or any other MT. I know FMA does it for around $35 plus a little more for feedneck and the such.

alright guys, since this is the second time to have stripped it out i think i'm just going to permanently attach the neck (its a CIP so i don't think anyone would object). any ideas what to use to attach it? i plan on simply filling the space between the neck and the body and jigging it in place to hold it. then i'll file and polish the top out so its pretty even with the body. i accualy think it'll look pretty cool...
but what to use? i've heard JD weld but i haven't had really great espiriences with it in the past and this is something i can't afford to screw up....
