I wasn't sure where to put this so I figured this would do.

I was wondering if any of the WDP guys out there had an answer for me. How did you get to where you are? I am looking to get into making paintball guns. For a long while I have tinkered with guns and have found it easier and easier to fix things. In the last year I have created two designs that have closly resembled the Freestyle and then the Ion before their release. However I did not have the money and resources to bring one to life.

My main question is what type of edjucation would I need to work with pnuematics? I havn't found anything specific to the subject and would like some advice. I graduate high school next year and figured I should get my ass in gear concerning further edjucation.

I am in no way asking for a job, just knowledge please. Thanks!

Don't know if this will help, but a lot of my knowledge came from studying Physics in college. Fluids, Electronics, Pnuematics, etc all came from the University.

I know when I was in college for Computer Programming one of my courses was a basic Automation class..deals with robotics and we had to do some pnuematic drive robot stuff. So perhaps getting a Robotics class under your belt might help in two ways. Help you to understand pnuematics and to help with automating your workshop

Thanks guys! Physics seems like it would be important so I think that's gonna be on me class list and then somthing else...

Keep it coming!

If you plan on taking physics, then you had better add calculus to your course schedule, as you will need that to take physics.

Don't forget machine shop, always helps to know how to work a lathe cause that's how you're gonna get your shapes.

Is automation the same thing? or is it just being able to program robotic machinery?
