minireg mod

So what exactly do you do to the stock minireg to make it run on an hp tank. Ive heard that you have to screw it off and take 1 of the springs out but I'm not sure. Anyone know bout this?

Mine runs fine... no mods. Hook it up an chrono then only if you cant get where you need to be mod.
