OK, I took my ir3 out for the first time and it was simply perfect, but after I got home I just wiped everything down and I went out into my backyard to shoot a bit and the bolt seems to stay in the forward position for way too long... I checked to make sure the ball detent wasnt too tight but it was just perfect...I dont know what it could be... could it possibly be the lpr being too low or something of the sort? any help would be greatly appreciated

i tried it with cops on and off w/ and w/o paint
im pretty sure there is nothing obstructing it
and yes i did try taking the ball detent and cycle it

And, look at the bolt for markings that would indicate an interferance ( scar, deep scratch, a polished or shiny area). Slide the bolt by had into the chamber to "feel" it...

my dwell is set at 14 and I do not have one but I do have a friend that can bring one over later today for me to use...
there appears to be no interferance on the bolt
and on further inspection I found that while de-gassed I can here that solenoid making two clicks per trigger pull and I don't remember that happening earlier in the day when I shot it w/o gas...

Have you tried to adjust your Ram? With the two clicks per pull, you might have worn out your microswitch.

well that has to be the strangest problem ive ever heard of with an angel. usually its shootdown or FSDO which can be cured by upping the lpr pressure and adjusting the snap ring. but this, well i dunno, its weird. take it to a wdp tech.

that is what I will most likely have to do...but this is really agrivating to me seeing as I've been saving for months to get it, I finally get it have it for 5 days play with it once and now nobody can figure out what the hell could be wrong with it...
there are some other things I have not posted here that I have found throughout the day that I have been discussing with Bob Sandifer over at the Angel forum at automags.org
if any of you care to read any of it it may give more clues as to what this may possibly be...

Reading the last post on that, you said the right when it goes into -SAFE- it fires. That means you have switched the wires with the intellifeed and 14-way.
I dont know if this is possible since its out of the box but my bolt was sticking and 2 clicks and other strange happenings. Make sure the wire is plugged in the right one and not the intellifeed slot. It happened to me.......
oops i missed what warpedkid02 said... if it fires when you turn it on it is for sure the 14 way wire and the intellifeed wire. This just happened to me. try it i am sure this is it

Hmm I think I may have a similar problem if you do not mind me posting on your thread. My Ir3, from time to time tends to oblitorate a ball and this causes my bolt to stick foward, and the gun just goes click..click...click. NOw I have one idea of what it could be.. I recently ran my cobra bolt under water to clean it off. Now I think it expanded as some derlin bolts do when they touch water. Now I was wondering if the swelling would ever go down or is this bolt pretty much a piece of garbage

Danno you're problem is different.......you're chopping a ball and getting the bolt jammed
