I've recently made the switch from years of playing with an RT to an IR3. I have a stock IR3 set up on an 800 psi input system currently with 2518 cycles on it. The problem I'm having is a first shot drop-off. That is, often the first shot will only go 20 feet or so. It's as if the valve didn't fully charge or as if it had leaked some of the gas out. I thought that maybe the valve was leaking out between games. I just tested it agian now. I installed the tank, turned it on, and fired. The first shot had serious drop-off and the tank had only been installed for a minute or so, so I figure it's got to be something besides a leaky valve. Has anyone else had this problem?

you need to readjust the LPR shims..they require a service (you'll need the tool kit) after a couple thousand cycles when you get them new....can someone back me on this?

There are a few threads about just type of thing. Odds are you need to check your LPR. 2500ish is a bit low of a shot count for the break in however. Most people myself included seem to run into this at around 10000 or so (4-5 cases). But check it anyway just remenber the IR3, mine at least anyway, seems to function best at 95-100 psi.

This is one of those reasons why the Tool Kit is such a good investment early on.

the other thing that may help is adjusting the snap ring.this is done by the allen head on the rear of the ram.tighten the screw until the gun stops shooting and just clicks.then loosen it until it starts shooting and try it.see if this helps.
