What are you talking about?

He's talking about using one of the servo motors from some other application to power his egg. That's how it sounds to me, anyway.

you'll turn your egg into a blender probably

some thing i heard was that you could put a vl quantum motor in an egg switch paddles and everything, and it will actually feed faster because of the gear ratios( but i just heard this somewhere so i would seach for it before you try it)

DRKANGLR is correct! I have a bunch of extra servos around and a EGGII that has a bad motor! So at most i waste a little time and might have to clean a shell! But the basics jist of this is i have a working original EGGII board with the speed adjuster. If i can replace the motor i can determine how fast the thing will spin so i can slow it down if needed.

I have hooked a new motor up and used the adjuster to test that was last night. it will control the motor and it is fast! turned all the way up its a blender for sure! but all the way down looks fine till about half way to full on adjuster. (half way is like double speed!) tonight i will place the motor in egg somehow and try to get some paint through it!

Well, how'd it work?

You could literally use a blender motor for this, and I imagine it would work well, If you could handle the weight, I could chop up my mom's toyota prius and use the electric motor from that, 3000 balls per second. yeee haaah

The motors in the loaders are just servos for radio controlled items. I am wondering if you could use an ultra high speed servo in place of the standard motor in the loader. I wonder what kinds of feeding rates you could get. Hmmm, maybe hit the rc forums tomorrow for ultra speed servos.

yeah, you can switch the motors, you just have to look for one with the right torque, speed, etc. ive also heard of switching the quantum motor with good results, but im sticking with my ifeed egg.
