Should i really spend the extra money and buy a new ir3 or just go with a used one. id much rather get one new, but then money is a HUGE issue...their sooo expensive. (hmm...different from my cocker!) What should i do, or i guess buy?

My ir3 fly was cycled 20´000 when i bought it. Its like a car, why buy a new when you can get a near-new for like 30% less? A couple of boxes post-new and it doesnt matter any more.

But there is always the issue of getting good service from the place where you bought it new...

If money doesnt concern you, get a brand new..!

I like to buy new because then I know EVERYTHING that has been done with/to that particular marker. Knowing the history of your equipment is something important to me.

used is as good as new to me because there is services out there or tech that will do the trade for you the seller sends the gun to a tech he looks over it completly and tells you if it is a good gun or not then you send the tech the money and they he does the trade and it will just cost you a service fee I belive a small price to make sure you are getting a good gun or not.

well instead of paying for shipping and having a tech looking at it and fixing it up, why don't you just buy a brand new one?????

Since cash is your primary concern, I would say go used - but INSIST on a 3rd party exchange. That way, both you AND the seller are protected from rip-offs, and if anything IS wrong with the marker your only expense will be the 3rd party fee.

Most, if not all 3rd party services will inspect the gear being traded or sold and make sure every thing is in order before sending the cash/gear to where it needs to go.

Anytime im dealing with someone i dont know online, i always request a 3rd party exchange. If they refuse, I walk.

Call me paranoid but I wouldn't even think of buying something like this used without going through a third party.

I myself like buying new for the simple fact that I personally know the history of marker.

Only 2 out of the 7 Angel Ive own/owned have been Brand New. Nothing wrong with buying used as long as you know what your gettting and the person your buying from is reputatable and has refferences. BTW Ive never used a 3 rd party and have not gotten burned. Make personal/verbal contact with the seller if in doubt then you can feel them out. Bottom line ask a lot of questions.

yea i also agree with J.Gruber. It is ok as long as you know the person well. Or if you have pictures of the gun and the sller answers the questions well.

I prefer to buy guns new, I would rather wait longer or spend more money than getting a used gun, I have seen people buy used guns and get totally ripped off, like guns with leakage and electricial problems, ect. Still I like new things, when you open the box of a brand new gun it's the same sensation as sitting in your new car and smelling that new car smell.
