Mem 6 is the software in the IR3 angels. It was the most advanced software for the IR3, until the 03 speeds came out, and then the A4 boards. Its an opto switch board instead of a micro switch, which means it works like a "break beam eye" only backwards. When the beam is "broken" the gun won't fire, but when you pull the trigger and there is a little hole in the leaf spring, that lets the beam connect, it tells the board to fire. Mem 6 also used Cops 2 instead of cops 1. Which basically got rid of the bugs in cops.

not that i have foudn unless it's hidden somwhere, i just got an ir3 with mem 6 cops 2 and i'd liek mor einfo on it, is there anywhere with ranking in boards and their abilities, it says it's a mem 6 board but it has a large plate switch on the trigger, haven't seen anything looking like opto circuitry yet

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I have a question about this topic. I have mem 3... was there ever a mem 4/mem 5 before mem 6?

SOB... nevermind... looked at other posts found my answer. Sorry about that. I guess the mem 4 was the first opto switch. Sorry about that.
