Alright I got a Dark IR3 yesterday(MEM 4, COPS1?). When I was testing to see if the COPS would detect my ball it would, it would always read pass. I had the sensitivity set at 10. Well when I shot it in my back yard with paint and all (using evo2) It would shoot whatever the bas setting was, and would rarely shoot a couple more shots that that, it was real weird. I tried all different sensitivity levels and it still wouldnt work. I dont see how it could read "pass" then when I go to shoot it it acts like there is no ball in there.

I was having a similar problem myself, Turns out in my situation, that the wiring from the COPS to the board was pinched in the frame and the insulation had torn exposing the wire. When the wire would touch the frame, it would create a short and would not register a paintball.
I would start out looking at the wiring in the trigger frame up to the sensor. If it looks like it is the case, tape it with electrical tape and then tape down the grove the wires sit in to ensure that they don't be pinched again.

the exact thing happened to my mem6
take the grip frame off, remove the cops rod and clean it. put it back in w/ no lube. some times the rod will get paint or debre on it causing it not to move freely. mine had lube on the rod from the factory and we pulled our hair out before we found the problem.
