Well, I just got my force fly just a matter of house ago, and I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on how to fire fast. Do most people use their index and middle fingers when walking the trigger? I have seen some picse of people firing and it looks as though they are using the middle and ring fingers. I really have some adjusting to do with this gun. The ergonomics are totally different than my automag. Not to mention that it only had a single finger trigger and I supported the bulk of the weight of the gun with my trigger hand. Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone had any pearls for me.
Thanks

Well firing technique is a learned skill specific to every player. When I fire you use my left hand to hold the mini reg...keeping my firing platform steady. I use the tank propped in my shoulder to keep everything steady. I really dont hold the gun at all with my firing hand... I just use my index and middle finger to fire. Some people use the ring and middle, some use 3 fingers... some use one. There are different firing techniques for different positions. When firing in tight you have to learn to hold the gun and fire with one hand...all dependant on you, your setup and the position your in.

i use ring and middle finger and use the tank propped on my shoulder or snugged against my chest to hold everything steady. Sometimes i switch fingers and use the first and middle fingers to use the trigger. When i switch trigger hands i cant even explain what goes into that. Its all your preference what feels best for you. Once you make up your mind use those fingers and only those fingers to work up your speed, just takes alot of practice to work up your speed i kno it took me a while to get used to going from a one fingered cocker to a two fingered angel

just shoot the way that feels comfortable, and the key to getting faster is just practice. You can tap ur fingers on a pencil or sumtin, or even at home u can carry ur gun around railing on it. After awhile it does become a horrible habit and u'll prolly annoy countless people by taping on things and not even knowing it, but u will be shooting faster :)

I find it helps to keep your fingers straight as well. Prefer index and birdie fingers

Amen to that. I am often caught walking my fingers on my desk at work or on the conference table during a meeting. Annoys a lot of people, but amazes them at times to given how fast my fingers are going. The worst part of the whole damn thing is, that I don't even know that I'm doing it. At my old job, one of my coworkers was also a Viper and whenever we were in a meeting we'd both get caught just running away on the table without even knowing it.
Find out what works for you and just practice, practice, practice. Start slowly at first, then as you get more comfortable build up speed. If you try and start out fast you are just going to end up pissing yourself off.

I'm the same way. I go around work walking my fingers. Just remember that you need to work your off hand as much as your "dominate" hand. That way when you switch sides you'll still get the sustained rate of fire you need.

yeah, people probably think i'm like horribly impatient or others who know why i do it just get annoyed. it's always like "STOP DOING THAT!!" and i'm like "what, oh, yeah... sorry"... i don't even realize it anymore, and anytime i'm not doing something specific, it just starts on its own...

I use my middle and ring finger, I am a lefty just so you know, and I support the gun's weight by holding the minireg with my right hand, and press the tank up to my shoulder. This keeps all weight off the gripframe, giving you a accurate, steady platform to walk the trigger on. I practice walking that my brain sometimes tells my hand to walk the trigger, It is really weird, I sometimes can't even stop it, I can only hold my fingers to mask the movement.

Same here. Tapping where ever I can. Sometimes I tap on the computer keyboard while at work making a dinging noise that way I can kinda simulate the shooting noise too. It really annoys others though. When I tell them why I''m doing it they understand then. I use my index and middle finger. I saw a guy holding the gripframe with his left hand and ripping with his right hand. I gave it a try and it worked out pretty good. When I'm working both sides of a small bunker or tight space, I don't have to switch hands and I can still stay tight. It was awkward and confusing at first but I got used to it. I've also played against an old guy that used three fingers on his 05 speed. He was mega fast!

Look do whatever is comferable and make sure you can get some speed off it. One way is to pick up the gun and aim at something then try it in that position in a game if you like it than use it.

i play back so it gives me the opertunity to shoot off the center of my chest in the begging of the game so i hold the grip frame in my left hand and rip of my trigger with 3 fingers i can get it going at a pretty good speed just find a confiterable position and do it over and over again it also helps ot gain speed by wrapping a rubber band around w/e fingers you use and act like you are walking the trigger do it till you cant move your fingers any more then let them rest then do it again it will get you goin faster and faster..but thats just what i do

i have a ?. It may be dismissed as a dumb ? that should never be brought again, but I'm curious. Using two fingers to walk the trigger is faster than using one. right? Well, wouldn't using 3 be even faster? like drumming ur fingers on a table. for exmple. pointer finger, middle finger, then ring finger, then repeat? if its a dumb question just say so, but plz dont flame

in theory yes, but it takes quite a bit of coordination to be able to let the trigger release far enough back to activate it again when using 3 fingers. Although it's possible it usually slows u down a bit, but some ppl do it...

i also find myself tapping my fingers on everything all the time without thinking of it. i use my middle and pointer finger. I am a student and i tend to find myself in the middle of class dreaming about past tournaments and i set my book up like a bunker and i shoot up all my class-mates. Just keep working at it and the more you do it the faster your finger will get. Good luck, and hope to see you at tournaments.

I am just learning to walk with my right hand well, I am such a spazzz with my left hand, but improving every day. I lay in bed at night practicing until I fall asleep. My wife knows I am nuts, but still tells me to stop wiggling my fingers. At work there are a few ballers so they know what I am doing, but the others are really confused.

i have a kind of weird shooting style, if im going out the right side, either snapping, wrapping or off the break i hold the grip with my right hand and then walk the trigger with my left index and middle finger, using the tank to stabilize the marker against my shoulder. and when i shoot lefty i just shoot normal, right hand on the reg, left hand on the grip frame walking.. its weird i can shoot faster left handed. meh. works either way
