any other mods. Someone mentioned the 9v snap connector mod how do you do that cause that would be usefull to me. When u cut the feedneck what do u use to cut and it do you just take it and just cut it straight. IDC what type of mods you guys tell me about easy or hard I just want some mods cause Modding stuff is fun

well, to cut my feedneck i just used a small hacksaw with small teeth so i wouldn't crack it. i did it with the egg still assembled so it would hold all together. also i wrapped some electrical tape around the raceway right above where i was going to cut it to hold it in shape, again to minimize the possibility of cracking. it worked great.
as for the 9v snap connector mod, you replace the battery plate thing with two snap connectors in series (so you get 18 volts). you just cut the two wires running from the board to the battery terminal plate. then solder in the two snap connectors, connecting the red of one to black of another, then the black of the first to black from the board, and the red of the second to the red from the board. see picture. it's really quite easy. then when you put the egg back together make sure you don't pinch any wires cuz there is a bit more wire than before in there. but done right it should eliminate all force on the battery door.

Cut 3 fingers off the paddle (so there's a missing finger between each) and stiffen the remaining fingers up by putting common pins throuth the fingers lenghtwise and into the hub. Also tried this with another paddle leaving just 2 fingers, but it was faster with 3.
You could also dye your egg (or paint the inside with stained glass spraypaint... it works well) I'll include pics of both.

I replaced the wood screws for the lid with JT mask screws (the ones that attach the old hard ears to the flex front).
I replaced the flexible paddle with an old VL2000 paddle (two arms, hard plastic).
I cut the feedneck down about an inch, it sits a lot closer to the marker now.
I also dyed it blue... it's pretty badass.

I sawed the feedneck so it sits way low, but that was before I played with it cause it looks like a spaceship.LOL. After that do the impeller mod.

what I did was the battery snap connector mod. My mom says you need a really fine tooth saw to cut plastic and we don't have one fine enough so right now I am not going to try cutting the feedneck.

I would think a dremel tool would cut it easily.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you're still using two 9 v batteries only now they are in series vice parallel. How much more quickly do the batteries have to be replaced in this configuration?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'common pins'. Can you describe what you're talking about or better yet post a pic?

A Dremel will cut through plastic very easily, but more often than not it also melts the surrounding plastic.

I don't have a dremel
Plus the feedneck didn't bother me that much

Dremels are great and they can do so many things.. My opinion is they are well worth the 60 bucks. I don't know how I ever got by without one.

they stock configuration has them in series as well, only you can't see the connections as they're part of that little pad that touches the terminals. nothing is changed electronically, so they last the same as before. the only thing this changes is how they sit in the battery compartment.
and to cut my feedneck down i just used a tiny hacksaw. it worked great.

By common pins I think he means sewing pins, etc. In my mind the 4 cut off paddles would be faster, because for every 2 paddels cut off there is room for one more paintball (at least somewhere around this), and therfore if the 2 paddles were reinforced, there would be room for 2 more paintballs to be fed per rotation, This is only true if you reinforce the egg 2 paddles with pins though. By the way, it took me almost a hour to install the z board, I couldn't get all the wires in the right spot (trying to find the right spot, but the instructions were spotty), anyone else run into this problem.

I'm doin the pin mod after i cut off the paddles. I asked around for months. I am Going to leave 3 on there. Sounds like a good idea to me. Since I bought the reinforced shell and battery door, I have no need for the 9v snap connector Mod. Thanks for the help.

Not true, I tried both leaving 2 fingers AND 3 fingers, and the 3 finger mod actually fed faster... less weight being pushed by each finger, so instead of bending they pushed the balls. With the 2 finger mod the fingers bent a little bit more (and yes I reinforced them) and didn't feed as fast. (we tested both in a drop test and on gun with paint)
if you want it fast, do the 3 finger mod and get some good, thick sewing needles and cut them down just shorter than the fingers once they're in. (you'll see when ya do it)

Put in z-board and did the 9v snap connector mod so now there is no force against the bat door at all.

Also painted my egg red (can't be clear du to some rules).

Favorite thing to do with Eggs?Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat in a iron skillet. Crack the eggs directly into the butter. Fry for 1-2 minutes, gently turn and fry for 1-2 more minutes. Serve with toast and Tabasco sauce.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

cut 4 of the blade so thee are two left and they sit across from each other. Then take a pin are sewing needle and stick it in the hub, then tape the pin and blade together. It increased my freinds egg's drop test by like 2-3 seconds.

My fav thing to do with my egg was sell it to an ion owner. Man I owned that thing for 6 months and I only had to replace the defective board, broken lid, and battery door. Then I decided to never by another Brass Eagle product as long as I live, and got a halo. The best and only way to upgrade an egg.
