inserts and backs.

What is the difference between inserts and backs? I thought I knew but I keep seeing ppl call a two peice barrel systems' backs, inserts. IDK I am so confused.

the freak system has a front piece a back piece and they have inserts that slide inside the back to change the size, instead of having 6-8 back pieces you only have one plus what ever inserts you need, hey usually come on a case with 8 inserts and the back wich is always the same lenght and the front you can get from 10" to 18"

yea insert system is totally different to back because inserts are different sized bores put into one back where as backs are a bunch of backs each with different size bores.
