k this is a huge problem for me at the moment, i have a tournament next week, and my gun doesnt not like to shoot under 270-280 much. It spikes over 280 a lot, and sometimes goes past 300 fps, the tourny is 280 fps and 290 or 300 doent help me. With my velocity as low as it can go, it wont go past 266, and is still really high, and will not be able to play with in a tourny, because if they chronie me it will for sure be over 280, and that would screw over my team.

SO if anyone can help me get my gun shooting below 280 with ease with out buying a adjustable tank or nething plz post. thanks

Well I'm guessing that those tanks are high pressure like suggested above. Your best bet would be to get a lp tank or try doing the high pressure mod for the reg.

The question still, is the tank a low pressure (450 psi input) or high pressure (800-850psi input)? High pressure regs have difficulty bringing the pressure down in the mini-reg so your fps may be high. Pure energy sells a spring kit to change the high pressure reg into a low pressure version. It is not terribly expensive or difficult.

my friend had that problem with his a4 he couldnt go under 300. the guy at our pro shop took out a shim in his reg and he can get it down to 260.

i got a question... if you put the fps too high could you screw up the gun?

No its wont screw it up. 400 input is optimal, you're not supposed to go over 800 or 850, get an lp tank, no way would I run high pressure. if you want you can get an adjustible on tank reg (like the centerflag dynaflow etc...) or for last resort (this is not the best idea but if you have to) if you have a kit use tight tight back to slow down your fps. Your speed will have a hard time getting below 280 with hp if at all and if you are still shooting the infinity barrel it seems that it can cause some fps inconsistancy. The lp tank should fix your problem and I think is your best bet all around. Let us know if you get this worked out. Hope this helps...

Definately quik fix would be switching 2 an LP tank..I had that problem...the reg doesn't have to work as hard in terms of regulating imput pressure (400 vs 850 preset output) w/o modifying the internals of the reg...

k, i took out my end cap by lpr reg, and there is only 4 spring cap things in it. and no shims, since there is no shims and im shooting very hot should i put more in? ( thouhg i dont have any more) and i also have a empire kit ( not stock barrel)

You took of the LPR cap? You need to check the mini reg which is where the macroline goes into your speed. RTM. Once the cap is off use either a breech knob rod or one of your grip panel screws to remove the mini reg. Screw in a few turns then pull out the mini reg assembly. Make sure you remove the set screw so the mini reg can be removed.

Once out you'll need a something to remove the c-clip then you can remove shims or a single spring from your mini reg.

Here's a ton of info on the mini reg that Ken posted: READ THIS COMPLETELY (http://www.angel-owners.com/showthread.php?t=29329)
