Well i have been trying to adjust by trigger, but this venier wheel set screw is kinda messing with me. If i tighten it till it has a little resistence it seems like it is too tight. How far into the gun is your set screws? If it is loose the trigger feels good, but i can spin the venier wheels still. Are you suppose to be able to always spin the venier wheels, i was thinking no cause then you could mess with your trigger during a game. Anyways thnx to those who can help me.

i just took those screws off..there were 2 times where i accidently turn the verniers...then my gun wouldn't shoot..thats kinda annoying but a very easy fix...so i just keep the screws off.

next time you grease your gun (or even now if you're interested) take the grip off your speed and look at how the little set screw that you are referring to works. Basically when you tighten the set screw it forces a small metal strip to engage the vernier wheel and thereby increases the resistance to its turning. So, I think the set screw should function such that when tightened, you should not be able to turn the vernier wheel.

Put when i tightn the screw in till it gets tight, then the trigger is harder to pull, along with the fact that it makes the trigger return harder.

Does anyone know the stock setting for the venier wheel? I put the wheels all the way to the left (both of them) but how many clicks to the right on each wheel are the stock setting??

Thanks

each wheel has a little flat spot on it. when i had probs with my son's speed i assumed the default setting was with the little flat spot facing you (basically set in the middle)

the problem took me a while to figure out. I know exactly what your talking about. This is caused for one reason. The venier wheels are a bit smaller than the space in between the body where they sit and the trigger frame. When the set screws are out and you shoot, the venier wheels have a little play so they move when you shoot some what. When you tighten the screws the venier wheels loose their play and are set in place (they dont move up and down at all). That way the trigger stiffens up and is harder to pull. The problem is a lot more apparent in guns with very short trigger pulls than long ones....

i know exactly what you folks mean.
the pull is upwards of 2 mm difference when the wheels are tightened or loosened. stupid system really. makes me miss my eblade so much... one screw for front stop, one for rear, and one for trigger pull weight... man i miss being able to adjust that last one... but i guess you get to adjust the toe on these... yippie...
wdp or somebody should make some slightly thicker metal vernier wheels with bearings to keep them centered and smooth... a lighter trigger would be nice too...
