tech question. Lcd board is locked.

Hey, I Recently purchased a lcd board from someone on here and when got the board it is asking for the pin number. I talked to the guy I bought it from about it and he said that the board never was programed with a pin number. Is there any way to bypass it so I can use the board? Any help would be appreciated. What would I have to do to get it reprogramed? Like mail it somewhere or what? and how much would it cost. Thanks for your help
