I finally got my ir3 and the pivot is in the middle. Everyone has told me to try the rear but I cannt get the pin out. I have tried almost everything except the right thing. i figuered there has to be LocTite in there. Any ideas on how to get it out?

A small punch will do fine. Just make sure you put the gun on something soft like clean wood so that it does not scratch the ano.

Use an allen wrench to remove the little screw. the use something small (i used a nail) to punch it out. Hammer on the side that does not have the lcd screen.

The most technologically advanced paintball marking system IN THE WORLD... and you still have to take a hammer to it for simple adjustments

Same problem here, btw i also can't seem to find the right allen for it :(

(did not got it with my ir3) :(

The punch thing, that only works i supose when you have first used the allen wrench to loosen the screw that's in there?

MAKE SURE that when you have unscrewed the screw and is ready to hammer out the pin, punch the side that has NO threads!

the pin is coned and is suposed to come out the same side that is threaded. (And dont forget wich side is coned, for reinstallment)

you guys are way over doing it if you're using a hammer and nails and §§§§ like that....

cairo--> my suggestion is to try not only the small metrics, but also the small ASE (or standard US size) allen keys. One of them should fit okay.

as for getting the pin out I simply grabbed an allen key that fit in the hole, grabbed a wrench or screwdriver or something small like that, and gave it a small whack the pin comes right out. The nice thing about using something like a plastic handled screwdriver is it's almost like using a mallet....if you miss you're not gonna scratch your gun up....now this grub screw is on the left hand side of the marker (the side with the LCD screen) and the pin also comes out this side so you have to push from the side with the IR port......make sense? Hope so
