First Day with 05 speed!!

Well i bought a Graphite speed used and have been dying to play with it for over a month now. I have been reading all these issues on chopping and everything and was getting super worried and even looked for an egg i could Z-board for when i started chopping (i had no doubt in my mind that i was gonna chop like crazy) I got to our field loaded everything up started to walk the trigger and nothing happened after like 2 balls..... i was like WTF.... so after i turned the air back on :rofl: i ripped the rest of the hopper (Halo-B W/victory board set at 6) Awesome i said this thing sings.... First round i got one person and as i crouched to get the other i pulled the trigger and... nothing..... musta had the light shutdown issue (fixed and never had aprob again). Well we played for about 4 hours and i used prob little more than a case or so. (woodsball with friends 4v4) I even gave the gun to my cousin who had never held a paintball gun b4 and he gogged 2 people!! Well the whole day i only had 1 barrel break (using the freak kit) after that i switched to my stock barrel and still had awesome accuracy and NO problems!!

I realize many of you dont have problems and have basicly the same day of owning up but i have been reading so much about all the "problems" with the 05 speed and i think its bull!!

I have never owned and angel (only spyders and a mech cocker.) so my friend set the ram and everything. But basicly after reading all that the point i was trying to make was that a proper set up and tuned angel will rip and rip all day without any chopping problems...

P.S. I was shooting Evil paint. With some leftover zap and draxxus thrown in the first hopper.

Congrats, you're lucky. It isn't bull, as you so nicely put it... some people are having genuine problems that are not setup related. Some aren't. I think it is AWESOME that you are lucky enough not to have the problems that some are experiencing... just don't reduce them to bull because you aren't having them.

Also, I have found the stock barrel to be as good or better than any of the other barrels I have tried. KUDOS to you on the angel!!! Enjoy it and shoot many many people in the face! :cheers:

most of the "problems" people say they have with their speeds arent gun problems, its the user that dosent know how to set it up.

I wouldn't call the shutdown issue and faulty eyes user error. Thankfully after Bob swapped the eyes and set everything, the gun rips. Now if I could just solve the shutdown issue.

Congrats on being one of the lucky. The gun is amazing if you can get it to work with you.

I guess i worded it horribly i didnt mean to be so negative about others problems. I realize some is out of the user control and it can be hard gun to set up properly. I spose if i tried to set it up it would probobly not even shoot.

(gonna sell the freak kit and stick with stock for awhile or get a dye UL)

*for my shutdown im just gonna put some tape inside the grip over the LED or whatever and cut a few little holes in it... hopefully it should fix it. :)

Hey Horarik...you only need to cover the top LED light. you don't have to cover all of the LED's with tape. I did this and all my shutdown issues went away.

maybe if u put ur cheek grips on tighter no light would come in. i have never had a problem with me pseed watsoever. ive never chpped out of abotu 8 cases, and have never had it randomly shut down.

yeah thats what im doing right now. I meant to say top LED but forgot. But thank you.

my left grip cheek is actually warped out from the person before only taking out the bottom screw to make adjustments. But after i put tape over my top led (quick fix) it never had the prob again.
