So i went to the midnight showing (12:01 actually) of Sin City and I have to say it was an awesome movie. Definately not a family movie, which is always a plus with me ;). The way it was shot and everything is completely unique to anything i've ever seen. All around an awesome movie with a lot of good actors :biggthump:

P.S. plenty of T&A in it :boobies: :boobies: :bigok:

It was shot in the style that Miller did the comics. JT, you and many other people have been spoiled by your surroundings and can't focus on enjoying a story for what it's worth. They were some of the best short stories ever written in the comic world. I can't wait to see it later this weekend.

The movie looks good, but my parents probably wouldn't let me see it. Did any of you notice that in spy movies they always take recon photos in black and white, this is because nothing stands, the movie makes the important things stand out very well from the previews, and it also adds a retroish theme to the movie.

Nvere read the comic books, but there was a guy up front with a microphone talking before the movie, saying they followed the comic a lot especially because frank miller was one of the directors.

Let me tell you this movie rocked. Nothing to compare it to really, Three short stories that kinda overlap maybe just because the stories all happen within this "Sin City" world Presto i dont know if you noticed but most(if not all) of this movie was shot in a Studio on a Green screen/blue screen which you got to commend the actors for a job well done.Robert Rodriguez is my fav director. Elijah Wood's character was freaky dude all the characters were awesome. The more i think about the movie the more i want to see it again. :)......oh and JT go see the movie cause Black and White are colors buddy. JK but there are moments of color throughout the movie which is the reason the movie is B and W so you only see certain colors when they do appear. They all have meaning.

I watched ICON on G4 TV last night because it was about Frank Miller and Sin City. As you said Kevie, most of it was shot infront of the green screen. They said that there were actually 4 of Millers stories in the movie. If you read the books, they kinda flow together anyway. Since this is Franks baby, he was there all the time. That's what Rodriguez wanted and I'm sure Miller also, it took him a long time to agree to film this. All of the actors said that it was great to have Miller present because the characters were his and everyone can ask him how the should act or react to certain scenes. It was pretty sweet to watch Alba dance around like she was doing :hitit:

it is actually supposed to be almost 100% true to story.

The writer of the comics said himself he wouldn't allow it to be made unless it stuck to the original story. Additionally he had final say on just about every single aspect of the movie from casting to scenes etc.
