Ok, I just got my evolve kit last week and got it installed.

I set my Main reg to 300 PSI, shimmed the LPR to 100PSI and then installed the newton LPR and dialed it down to 50. and installed the Newton Valve and set my dwell to 8.

went to fire the gun and the ram wouldnt even move. so i upped the dwell until I was able to get the ram to move and fire the gun. my final dwell was at 11. now here's the messed up part, I can only get 3 pods and a hopper off of a 3000 fill on a 68/4500.

I have gone over the setup several times and cant see whats wrong.

03 Angel speed with the Master Tech FLY conversion.
A4 Flash Tank w/Gauge

I know all the pressures are right but with everthing setup the way the instructions state the gun wont even cycle. HELP...........

you have the new hammer, valve, volly, etc on right?

the ram should cycle regardless. try dropping the LPR to 40-50 whatever u said wouldnt work, and firing it but with the breech open so you can see the hammer. make sure the hammer is on straight

have you set the volly correctly? in terms of the screw at the end to adjust the spring tension on the valve, bla bla bla?

Yes, I have opened the breach and it does not cycle. I have checked that the new hammer is installed correcly, and all the other parts as well. This has me stumped. If I put all my stock parts back in everything works great, so I know the ram works ok (Just put it in a few months ago).

If I up the LPR to about 70-75 and put the dwell at 11 then the ram starts cycling and firing the gun.

using the evolve adjuster try dropping the LPR slowly till you can see when it stops cycling.

if you've only got the basic kit, check the pressures and drop them slowly w/ shims. it'll take a while but gotts solve the problem. firthermore, lube the ram, LPR, and any other friction parts.

aswell, although i doubt it's likely on newer angels, but there is a snap ring/nut aty the back of older rams (IR3 and older i think) and if thats adjusted improperly the ram wont cycle properly.

The ram will stop cycling at about 65 psi, at about 70 it wont even open the valve. the newer rams are factory sealed.

yeah i know newer rams are factory sealed, and i expected you to have one but ya never know.

try checking the noid for possibly restricting airflow, and than try another LPR piston... just find someone who's friendly at your local field and drop the new piston. shouldnt be too much work.

You all missed one little part of what ould be the problem with the horrible efficiency. Perhaps the screw on the end of the Newton volumuzer is to far out and is causing the valve to open further then it should. You have to adjust the screw so there is no bloback in the marker, turn it all the way closed and then go from there. As for the ram not ccling with a low dwell or LPR. Take the lpr cap off and put the internal lpr between 50 and 60 psi. This will let you know if the lpr cap is causign the problem. My newton lpr cap gives me grief so i suspect that may be your problem too. Let us know how it goes bro.
