If you use a Halo B Reloader - are you getting chops?

I use a reloader and get a few more chops than when I run an EGG II. I am just wondering if any of you still run a reloader and how is your marker shooting.

I am not getting chops with my Reloader nor my Egg with y board. I prefer the Egg for the capacity alone. I prefer the reloader for the off the break outshooting the loader problem or in this case a lack thereof.

Hmmm. I slapped on an empire reloader B when I ripped off the lid to my egg, and I made sure the kid set the empire on 1 before I shot, and it ripped, no chops at all, shot faster than my egg. NOTICEABLY faster. My bolt is set so its almost impossible to open the break with it gassed, but it works great.

I used a Reloader, but I only have a 2k1 LCD right now. When I used it my Lasoya though, it rocked. I just hated the Lasoya.

I bought a Reloader B about two weeks ago because I was tired of outshooting my egg. The love the performance of the Empire but I am definately getting way more "chops". Well I am calling it chops but its really the bolt splitting the paintball that is peeking too far into the breech, when the paintball that is in the chamber is being fired. There are already a few threads on this problem.
What I normally get is a few streaks of paint down the barrel and not a full burst of paint, but this is still very annoying.

I normally go through a full case or two of paint with the egg with only one break. With the Empire I find I get streaks of paint down the barrel after about a hopper or two. I have tried the Empire on all the speed settings but am currently running it with six batteries on the slowest speed.

So now I either have to put up with the reliable but slow egg or put up with the fast but unreliable Empire... I'm still deciding, but once having tasted the speed of the Empire it is so hard to go back to the egg. :puzzled:

I use the Reloader B and I set the speed on the highest and also i set my angel at its highest loader setting. I don't usually get chops because of the loader. IF i do get any chops its usually when i'm shooting at a high rate of fire because i think the drive cone is spinning faster and makes paintballs more brittle. BUT it doesn't break inside the loader. I think what you should do is either use four batteries our use six but with either the loader set to the first or second level.

i use the reloader B...no chops cuz of marker...just cuz loader is crushing the paint...bought some marbs work fine...but then shell were to hard to break on people...lol...sigh

try to use better paint...especially in cold weather

i had really good luck with blaze for practice...just as long as they are fresh paint (very Important)

I used my reloader b last week and had a horrible experience. I think it was small paint mostly, but it was pushing the ball back into the softface and letting the next ball peak in... same problem that has been mentioned before. Didn't happen to me with the egg or ervvy that day... so I am just going to switch up for a while and maybe try the jam ras later...

Sidenote: YES, the ram is adjusted properly... this gun was Triggas and I double checked it once I recieved it too. It was just the loader.

Okay, I have been using my Egg-Z with my speed with no problems. However it was not as fast as my friends reloader B.

I bought a reloader b, and sure enough I was chopping pretty bad. HOWEVER... I think I may have come up with a great solution.

1. Grease the hell out of the black drive belt with angel grease
2. Stretch the drive belt without breaking it
3. I sanded down the top front edge of my bolt (cobra v2) with a dremmel.

The problem is not how fast, but how much pressure the loader is exerting on the stack. By lubing and stretching the belt, it can actually slide on the internal gears thus reducing the forward pressure on the ball stack.

In the event that there is too much pressure, thus causing the 2nd ball to peak into the breech, the shaved down edge of the bolt actually passed by (perhaps pushes up) the 2nd ball, thus sliding under, not into the ball to reduce chops.

I tryed this process this weekend, shot 3/4 of a case, and low and behold it ripped, with 0, nada, zip, nil breaks using x-ball gold which is noted to be a "smaller" painball.

Try this at your own risk, but it worked for me!

In fact I will post this as it's own thread for all to see.

I would like to know why some people have problems with it and others don't, I mean we all have ram adjusted the right way, and I am assuming everyone set the loader on the lowest setting. Is it just the paint? Maybe it doesnt work with certain types of paint. But then, why wouldnt it do this on any other gun, unless its the ram? Why can't they make an egg which feeds at 30 bps?

EL Pirata gave me a great formula which is

(Reloader B + Non brittle paint+ speed setting 2 = a good day of balling)

works for me all the time :)

All this thinking makes my head hurt.

no chops/breaks, usually it is a ram/hammer adj that leads to problems. ive used a reloader on 05 speed and my g7-never a chop.

i had an empire and i tried everything to get it to stop chopping. nothing worked. i switcehd to an egg last practice and its workin great now. ill take 3 or 4 bps off my ROF to get the ball to break on the poor guy on the other end, not on the bolt.

Interesting.

This, second ball in the chamber business, is obviously the achillies heel of the marker chassis. That is why the G7 has a bolt that sets forward once you 'lock' the roto breach.

I think that is the advantage to the G7. Less chops with powerfed loaders.
