Which Board?

What is the difference between the mem 3, mem 4, mem 5, etc. boards for Ir3's. I am guessing that as they fix the bugs in the board, they just rename them, is that the only difference? Also, how can you tell which board you've got? Thanks.

The mem4 boards and up have the opta switch.

4 apparently had a delay issue, which 5 fixed. 6 came with COPS2. That's the simplest way of explaining it. There are more in depth explanations in other places that's just the quick one

When you turn your gun on it will say Mem (then the number you have)

If you have a MEM4 or MEM 5 opta board, you can just have the software upgraded to MEM6 with COPS2. If you have MEM1-MEM3, you would need to get a different board to have COPS2.
