Hey there !

My Speed '05 worked perfect before. (LPR 50, Big Volu)

Then I decided to build in the Evolve Kit (new cup seal + delrin hammer) in my Speed 05. Followed every single step of the instruction very carefully.
It looked good when I first adjusted it over the chrono but during the game I chopped like MAD  (4 diff. paints tested..)
After two hours of adjusting and adjusting... it wont work like I want it to ! (LPR at 50)

Today I went over the chrono again. But this time without the LPR adjuster - only the "Kit" itself on the right side.
After one hour I came to the conlusion:
Sometimes - but only after looong time of adjusting - I had like 230,232,229 ! But as soon as I tried to change the minireg to increase the velocity, the whole setup screwed up again and the Speed turned §§§§in' inconsistant over the chrono again !

I decided to give the Kit a very last chance and ask you if you know how to do it correctly !

Please help me.

Thx in advance ! :drink:

We now have 7 05 speeds running the V2 evolve kit with out any problems#

the instructions are here http://www.angelowners.com/showthread.php?t=37483

we have had 2 where the lpr has to be run at around 50psi because of drop off at high rate of fire

What about the dwell time ?

Which settings do you use while adjusting ?
Any drop downs caused by the LPR-Adjuster itself ?

the dwell is around 3 from bottom at the moment as the guns are being run in the vert reg is set to 300psi in to the marker, the lpr is around 40psi to 50 psi and the velocity is adjusted by the screw on the newton kit. the Guns have the meatl faced hammer in as they are less fragile.

the markers are running around the 288fps mark +/- 5fps (this is due the the paint), no shoot down by using the lpr, just remember to grease all the parts.

Shall I even grease the hammer ?!
I'm using the full delrin hammer - maybe that causes my problems ?

greetings & thx for your help !

juggernout,

this may be a bit long winded, but i will try to sort it out for you!!

there is a person on the forum that goes by the name of trigga nometry, he as well has an 05 speed that he installed the evolve kit on and for a while i know that it was giving him trouble as well!!

this is where things may get a bit hairy, there is another user on the forum by the name of tye1138, he as well had an 05 speed that he put the evolve on to and had numerous problems as well!!

the following that you will read are qoutes from other posts form myself, trigga and tye and from that you can determine which other areas to look at to get the evolve working correctly!!

i installed the evolve to my force fly and it has been amazing!! i truly hope that you can get yours to function properly!!

Good point though. I do have a new 0-300psi gauge that I now have on the tool kit. I'll use that this time to set the stock LPR to 100psi just to be sure to rule out a crappy gauge.

I am going to try and reinstall the kit again this weekend. I am going to be sure to clean try everything again. One last attempt!

Trigga Nometry,

as much as i hate to dig up old bones i thought that i would post the following so that you might check other areas to eliminate your problems with the evlove kit!!

i also have an evolve kit that has been laying on my closet floor for nearly a month now!! i am trying to wait and see how many problems there are with the other people who have installed the kit!!

the following info is not meant to do anything but give you another area to check and by no means am i insinuating that there is a problem with the wdp manufactured products!!

Hey everybody!
Tonight I went ahead and did all my experimenting using a different ASA and inline reg. My results were astounding!!!

I manufactured (from an A4 bad asa) one that would fit onto the 05 speed. This took 1/2 the evening to get right (don't try this at home) and after several failed attempts, we finally got it to work. We stuck a sidwinder on an 05 speed and gased it up.

To my surprise the recharge rate was still slow!!! I knew then, all this time it was a bad LPR! I rushed over to the work bench, grabbed a marker that was being used as spare parts, pulled out the entire LPR assembly from an A4, stuck it in and found it to be working 100%! No drop off, no creeping, just perfect! I proceeded to scream as loud as I could and shot an entire hopper through the marker to make sure it was working.

I grabbed my other 05 speed, and found that IT's LPR did the same thing! So I have 2 05 speeds with bad LPR's! My 3rd 05 speed was out and about, so I could not use it for testing purposes.

All this time, its just been a few bad LPR's and nothing has been wrong with the new inline mini-reg. I reassembled the markers using the new LPR's and the gauges were rock solid perfect. I did a few tests @ 50 psi, and it seemed to work fine. I'm leaving my gat @ 60 due to the risk of 50 psi being too low for rapid firing.

Ok, that's my story! Sorry if I've been upsetting those trying to get Evolve kits, but as I said before; the kits work fine its just the dam markers that don't! I think WDP had a run of bad LPR's. We tried replacing the o-rings and lubing them up with no success. I'll post further info if I hear of anybody else with my problem...

I will use your tips to configure my speed 05 right after tournament we have next week. Its important so I dont want to risk a not-working gun !

Right now I only have the super light hammer (delrin) in it.
We had a Reball practice today and it worked fine !

And again... :notsure:

I play Mille next week and I only have one training left to get the kit runnning !

I built the kit in and managed it to get constant FPS over the chrono even with elder paint. But still I have kick + it sounds very "not Angel like" !

So:
--> What parts need to be greased ? (even the full delrin hammer ? - right now its not greased !)
--> When I lower the LPR --> shall I adjust the FPS still only on the front volumminizer ?

greetings & thx for your help !

your not supposed to use the mini reg to adjust the velocity the instructions say to use the screw on the end of the volumiser

All can tell you is never grease anything made of delrin. The other guys here will have to help with the other parts of the kit... wish I knew more about it to help you. :dunno:

@mixar: yeah that's what I do ! I never changed the Minireg ! :)

What else do you need to know ?
