Has anyone received their fix for the faulty cup seal? I have heard rumors that they have tested a fix but the only thing I have received from them was last month I got a half a dozen replacement o-rings for the cup seal. I had assumed that they would have sent a the upgraded fix for the cup seal.

Forgot to mention, the pic above shows the new smaller volumizer valve with the cup seal. They also sent in the new cup seal for the longer volumizer too. It just isn't shown in my pic above.

--jYeah I am being a "tale topper" here but my last e-mail I received from them was the 15th of last month about a fix for the cup seal.
Anyway, I shot them a new e-mail a little while ago and hopefully I will receive a reply back tonight or tomorrow.

They had a problem with the original batch of cup seal valves so they had to wait an extra week to sort things out. Once everything was set, I received my replacement parts within 6 days (pretty fast from England to So Cal). They forgot to send me lpr cap springs and sent those out promptly too and I got them in another 6 days. Evolve has excellent service and products!

@trigga nometry:

Just built in mine yesterday but I forgot to grease the new cup seal ! Shall I take it apart again and grease it or not ?

btw I went over the chrono we have in our cellar and it seems to work fine for me ! :) (after 10mins...)

btw. here is a PICTURE (http://www.angel-owners.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=20659[) of the longer one (I still use the "oldschool" voluminizer)

I got a reply from Gordon this morning. My cup seal was mailed out yesterday and he said it should be here in within 14 days. Based of the shipment of o-rings they sent last month I am hoping the shipping will be about 4 days like it was last time.

Total failure !

Been chopping horrible all day long !!! Been adjusting it yesterday for about 1 hour and it seemed to work fine. But today I was very very pissed. Chops with no end ! I tried bout 4 different paints but all with the same result = CHOPMATIC.
After 30mins of dissapointment at the field I tried to reconfigure it at the chrono with the help of two certified Angel techs - no sucess at all.
I followed every single step on the instructions and the gun seemed to work fine- but I guessed wrong !

I just took out the Kit again and it works fine now.

Who wants to buy it ? -->PM me

For those concerned about the newton kit. I just wanted to say that mine works flawlessly. It is working so well (after being jimpacted by MOTU) that I havent even put the new replacement parts in. The only change done on my kit was a switch to a harder o-ring.

Have a problem contact MOTU (aka Jim) @ impactpaintball. He can sort you out.

dont knock it till you tryed it

for some people the breakin process is longer than others...and chops do happen durring breakin. the problem with his was that his hammer was probally adjusted immporperly and that on all angels = chops

i love my v2 kit...i had all kinds of problems with the v1 but they where all fixed w/ the v2...exept for the external lpr adjuster, what i suggest is takeing out the spring and cone out of the lpr adjuster and setting it with the newton kit like you where runnning without the kit then fire it up...it helps with the dropoff and fsdo tremdously

Ok, thank you sharps and esandov for calming my nerves somewhat. I just have bad expierences with aftermarket upgrades. Like my 2liter, I broke by trying to turn the pressure down on it so now I have to go have it fixed by someone who doesn't live in Hawaii which will probably take some weeks. I was also wondering, do you think my local pb tech could install the newton kit on my angel? He's an angel tech but he's never seen or messed with an evolve kit before. Also, do you think I'll have a problem if I get the kit installed with my stock reg on the 05 speed and then when i get my 2 liter fixed remove the stock reg and put the 2 liter on. Will that cause any problems for me?

I will get rid of the LPR Adjuster today and give it another chance.

Updates later.

Trig did you get all of that for free when you requested the new cup seal or did you have to pay extra for the short volumizer and hammer?

Got mine today...works like a charm.

Evolve could have probably saved alot of money and just gone with a urethane o-ring, but the new molded cup seal is definitely a way to be sure there won't be any more issues, ever.
