Well since I have seen a friends spyder rated at 9.7 on there I don't think I am going to rely too hard on that site. But then again the things he said are true =p

Pirata, all due respect, no flaming, I like you, but your posts about waiting for your G7 are getting old too. Please try to stick to the subject. You've posted the same thing in every forum :repost: . Maybe you should start a "Waiting for mine" forum. Again, no hard feelings, because I feel your pain :notsure:.

Products Used: Dm4, Karnivor, JD Fly, 05 Speed, Stock Cyborg, Dark timmy

Marker Setup: Black/Red DM4, Tadao board. Dye "peanut". Red Halo B.

Recommended
Upgrades: Maybe A Barrel kit?

Product Year: 2005

Strengths: Fast
Sexy
LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT
Easy to use LCD
Made by WDP

Weaknesses: Timmy users throw rocks at you
Too much money
Bigger paint bill

Review: Well I tested this bad boy out on thursday, the day it was unveiled at HB. Boy first thing I thought when I saw it was how great the Colors were and the smooth lines of the marker. After asking the angel guys to air one up and fill it with paint, i took it out back for a target shoot. Took a couple test shots, this marker is QUIET, Extremeley smooth trigger pull. Then I decided to take her for the test run. Boy could this rip. NO KICK. That blew me away. Might I also add the g7 is EFFICIENT. I did not have a chance to chrono, but I will be going to hb tomorrow and will take notes and write a more full review tomorrow.
Now for bad things about the marker
-Timmy owners have to put the gun down because they spend money on something IMHO isnt worth it.
- Too many people want to see it.

Conclusion: Definetley if you have the $1497.00 to pick it up, I'd say go for it, You will not regret it. i know I'm getting one
10 because this is a great gat (real muppet mower)

Paintball
Experience: More than 5 years

Similar
Products Used: SPEED05

Marker Setup: DM4 w/ EVOLVE BOLT, AKA 2-LITER,
SPEED05 W/ CP ASA ADAPTOR, AKA2-LITER

Recommended
Upgrades: I NEVER LIKE THE MINIREG DUE TO SLOW CHARGING CHARACTERISTICS. ONCE AN ADAPTOR IS AVAILABLE FOR THE G7 BUY THE 2-LITER.

BETTER BARREL.

Product Year: 2005

Strengths: Fast as my finger can pull.

Weaknesses: Too expensive.
Feels the same as a SPEED05

Review: I was really excited to try this new marker. But after owning a SPEED05 I would say to wait until something better comes along. It basically felt like a speed05 w/ an lcd. The replacement from the pull know to the lever-lock thing felt a bit odd but i guess that is something to get used to. The glossy finish was nice.

Things to watch out for (manufactuer’s claim):

1.) 14-way solenoid valve (they use a 4-way not 14-way solenoid)
2.) zero-kick ram (the dm4 w/ evolve has less kick)
3.) does not use a 9-volt battery (no big deal)
4.) 15bps limit capable (good feature)
5.) 31 bps (same claim for the speed05 but never proven)

I could not test efficiency because of limited testing.

So, in my personal opinion, if you currently own a speed05 or a4fly, wait for something more substantial to come along. if you own a a4 or lower model this might be a good upgrade to take. as I was not that impressed by the g7, I would suggest, to all, try the g7 before pulling $1500 out of you wallet. take the manufactures claim with a grain of salt. (a lot of salt).

Conclusion: Just wait for something better to come along. Try the G7 before you buy it.

I was not really impressed by the g7. Don’t get caught in the marketing hype.

yeah, for reals... it isnt that expensive even. i mean, dm5's were 1400 or so when they were brand new. and timmys are freakin 1500+ for brand new rippers.

If you're in the market for a an SUV, you can't use the price or gas consumption as a negative. It's an inherent trait. You can't tell someone in the market for exotic cars to not buy this car or that car because it will set him back $500,000. COMMON SENSE.

Wylde1
03-23-2005, 05:56 PM
true, i guess it's just personal opinion, i cant justify spending that kind of money on something when the thing it will be replacing is still performing better then i could ever have asked for.

Talon

Common Sense? That's something that seems quite lacking in some of the younger players around today. One instance this past week was when I went to Orlando Paintball Saturday night and Opie, known on here as thedoubleop and is one of the refs there, was telling me about a bunch of Angel haters that were there doing nothing but talking trash. Doesn't really bother me, just pulled out my Burnt Orange Force Fly, 45/45 AIR, Halo B, Freak and went to work. Thought I handled it quite well and didn't hear any personal negative comments except for people that got pissed about being nailed a bunch of times.

What gets me are the people that nag on price when they don't consider the fact that for the performance, customer service, dependability, reliability, and respect (sometimes) that we get with the package that comes with using an Angel, it's actually a hell of a deal!

Wylde-that is true.

Talon-with your Force Fly, just the MT warranty is worth half the price! Play On.

Thanks. Right now it looks like I won't need it though. I've never had a problem with it that couldn't be easily diagnosed and fixed with what I keep in my kit. Hopefully I'll never need to use the warranty, but it's good to now I can go to them if there is ever something I don't think I can handle myself.

Why Dilly? Just curious. I'm looking for a new gun. If I could find a Force Fly in mint condition (for a good price) I'd go for it. I'll probably end up with the G7, PL Shocker, AB Freestyle, or DMC.

wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

He's posting an opinion. Everyone gets theirs. His is not inflammatory, nor is it detrimental to the postings on this board so his is actually worthwhile....yours on the other hand seems to leave a bit to be desired there.........

First of all...goup hug, peace, and Angel-owners love to everyone. Emmit, My bed does not have a wrong side. I have the perfect life (perfect family, perfect job, perfect hobby, and the good Lord is on my side). I agree, El Pirata was posting his opinion, and no, it was not inflammatory. I came to the thread looking for reviews on the G7 (notice the thread title), and I had noticed that he had posted the same comment related to his wait for the G7 on this and many other threads. I kindly asked him to stay on subject (by definition his post was detriminal). El Pirata seems to be a great guy, and everyone treats him as such (in other words he is cool and will be cooler when he gets his G7), so, I had no intent on offending him (I feel his pain). I do not intend for my posts to be desirable, but as you will notice it was in fact desirable (somebody decided to make a "waiting for my G7 thread"). So, if I offended anyone, I sincerely apologize (especially to El Pirata). But my position stands....STICK TO THE SUBJECT. AO love! BTW...Any new reviews?
