Most indoor fields have some sort of lining on the floor. Some use shredded rubber from tires, others wood chips, still others are using indoor outdoor carpet. This can take the sting out of falling on your knees but is not for sure. Many times the covering will get brushed aside and you'll be dealing with hard concrete. I'd take your knee pads.

I concur, a lot of places I’ve been to use indoor/outdoor carpet laid on bare cement. While this provides excellent ground for sliding it can hurt, knee and elbow pads would be a good idea.

My buddy owns an indoor field, and he has sand. It used to be wood chips, and with those, knee pads were necessity.

I used to play at Rex Plex regularly before it closed recenty. They had carpeting on their fields. They never cleaned it so you could seriously slide a good 15 feet on your knees without trying a bit.
