I finally got my LED up and running and i have a question. I got my 98/4500 tank filled well the place usually only fills them to about 3,000 if that. I went out and shot it at the side of my shed and i went through about 600 - 800 ballz. I come back inside and my tank is reading almost 0psi.... which sux...

Is that normal to empty a tank that fast?

on the upside i would say i was shooting about 10-13 bps with a single trigger never a break and it was dead on... SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE 98 CUSTOM!

Thanks, Kemp

btw i think its set on 600 psi burst does that sound right?

That is about normal for how much pressure you get per fill.

What do you mean by 600psi burst?

I mean the tank is set on 600 (the guage on the tank)... im guessing that means 600psi? Well its a 4500 tank why do i get less than a 3000 fill? My big question is should the tank be empty after 600 shots?
:puzzled:

I find that both of my LED's are gashogs.They are high pressure markers and use alot of air to operate. Sounds about right for balls per volume. Mine average about 800 to 900 per 3000 fill. As to the tank most regs on tanks are 850 psi output you may have a lower output reg. Sounds like your gauge maybe NFG, For the price try a new one. See if a shop can check your output so at least you know what your working with. Just to justify this had a guy come into the shop complaining his timmy had a hard time working on his spare tank,tank had never been touched since new put out 90 psi through the tank reg. Even my cocker would have a hard time on that it operates at 225 psi.

Up here in the lower arctic [Alberta] about $ 20.00 depending on who's brand name is on it.

The reason you got a 3000psi fill is because of the compressor used. a tank may be a 4500 but that only means that's the suggested limit it can hold. every field you go to is a little different. 3000 is pretty typical around where i play.

side note:
NFG = no f*ucking good... i'm assuming

I went back to the shop today asked him to look it over just left it there. This was prob the owner he said that the fills are 3500 and yesterday i got like a 2800 fill. Kinda made me mad jippen me the extra 700 psi ! lol. I guess from now on if its not the older guy im just gonna have to ask to make sure its 3500.... as if thats not understood in the first place. :angry:
