Just last weekend, something wierd started happening with my Fly IR3. When I shoot right-handed, it works fine, but if I switch hands and shoot left-handed, the gun won't fire when the trigger is pulled 80% of the time. It's wierd because it fires right-handed but not left? Also, when I was toying around with it the other day, I turned it on and only half of the LCD display lit-up. After turning it back off then on again, it turned on fine but the trigger is still acting wierd.
Everyone says I should send it in somewhere and get a new(er) board and have a tech. look at it. What should I do?
FYI: It's a Fly IR3, MEM 4.
Thanks

Interesting??! Your trigger isn't slipping off the bar or anything is it? I ask because perhaps when you change hands you're changing how you put pressure on the trigger.

if it was just the firing problem I'd blame it on your side to side play......however since you seem to be experiencing other problems with it as well, I'd suggest getting it replaced.....and since it's a MEM4, replacing it with a MEM6 would be my suggestion......

I thought it was possibly something to do with the firing mechanism being out of place or something since it won't fire when held in a different position (different hand). The wierdest part though was the fact that it was only happening while I am playing - It worked near perfect after the game when I was screwing around with it.
Emmit, where can I get my board replaced with a MEM6 and how much would it cost me?
Thanks again

gadjr.....since you're experiencing problems with it, it might be able to be replaced as a warranty item, or just a normal board replacement fee. send an e-mail to any of our sponsors they can give you their prices and turn around times on something like this

How short do you have your trigger set? It might be on the borderline where the switch doesn't fully reset every time. If its that slight difference, the difference in pressure you put on the trigger from right hand to left could be affecting it. You could polish the trigger, theres a couple of threads on that.
Otherwise, try setting your MROF 1 or 2 higher. Might be that your left hand catches the board at the wrong moment in timing.
