It might be too early to ask, but will the evolve newton valve kit work in the G7? I just preordered a G7. I have this kit on my old speed and it works wonders. If it does fit, will this kit be necessary for the G7? Thanks!

No it won't be necessary for the G7. The G7 alrady has a lightenned hammer, and has a higher flowing valve. The valve is modular meaning that the spring, retainer, and valve body are all essentially one piece, so the long shaft from the evelve kit wont fit on there.

I think the valve may is still apart from the rest of the valve pieces as seen here: http://www.angel-owners.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17191
Of course that is providing that design depicted hasn't changed since that pic was un-officially released.

I am wondering about the whole assy. It almost looks like WDP used magnets to hold the pieces together.

Looks like i'll have to do what most of us do when we get a new gun... take it apart and see how it works and how it can be improved and modified. Still not sure if the newton kit will work or not. I'll put off ordering it till the G7 comes in the mail. Should be at my door Friday or Saturday! :bouncer:

I thought the whole point of the new G7 internals was that it effectively does what the Evolve does now but standard inside the G7 (so no need to add the Evolve)??

That's the general answer I've been receiving when asking this this question in other forums, but nobody seems to know for sure. I'll fire about 2000 rounds through it out of the box, then put the newton kit on it (if it fits), fire another 2000 shots, and see which one performs better. Then I'll post conclusion.

Actually, now that I think about it, how could you use a volumizer with that type of fitting on the cap of the exhaust side? The new G7 specs state that a volumizer really isn't needed because the new valve parts are smaller hence they take up less space (so more volume) but at the same time the specs mention that you can use a small volumizer if you want to further reduce the operating pressure. Looking at that pic, I wonder how the volumizer would fit on there? Hmmmmmmmmm..... :puzzled:

Possibly the cap screws onto that rod, or the volumizer comes with all that stuff attached to it?? Can't wait till Thursday and Friday, so many questions will be answered!

I definately like the idea of a boot covering the spring thus reducing the drag on the airflow in and around the valve. That and the fact the spring is on the opposite end of the valve as it normally would be.
